The Hopefully Official Stats and Rankings Thread

Post by ToTheLeft »

Since we all are proud of the guys who wear our school's name on their jersey and put up ridiculous numbers every week, I figured we should start a thread to draw attention to players putting up big numbers, or teams with great stats in a particular category.

So EWU fans, if Taiwan Jones gets 5,000,000 yards, as he probably will, brag about it here. If JMU fans want to show off their teams defensive prowess in ranking form, go ahead! If Colorado State fans want to point out that their team has only scored 9 points in 2 games so far, do that here too. :ohno: (Not really, FCS only here!)

If this doesn't catch on, then oh well. But I really enjoy looking at stats and this gives everyone a place to brag about who did what, and how memorable, or record-breaking, it was.

I'll start.

LU's Mike Brown is currently 2nd in FCS in total offense (behind Presley from ASU), with both of his games this year setting new career highs in total offense for a single game for the redshirt Junior. He's on pace to get just under 4000 yards of total offense this year.

LU's Chris Summers is currently leading the nation with 137.5 receiving yards per game. He is tied for 5th nationally with 9 catches per game. That's over 15 yards per catch. His 4 receiving TD's also lead the nation.

Need help finding stats?

Go here...

Find your team, and you can see where your team leaders rank in several offensive and defensive categories. It's a really nice resource, if you didn't already know about it. :thumb:
