I just wish App would either retire or put our cartoonish Yosef mascot in the stands to entertain the kids and bring back a real Daniel Boone type Mountaineer with his long rifle. Every time I see a West Virginia game I get a cause of envy. What the heck is that red blob of a WKU mascot anyway? Love the Griz and Duck.

Just a mascot who has the most recognizable the country!! Also has been featured several times in ESPN and is a 7-time member of the Capitol One All-Mascot team.

To answer your question: According to the legend, it was supposed the signify the renewed spirit and the uniqueness of Western Kentucky University. That's all I got. If that's unclear sorry. I was a baby when the mascot was created.

What is the story behind Auburn having an eagle as a mascot? I know there is a story as to why Auburn University has an eagle as a mascot but I can not remember what it is. They taught it to us in Freshman orientation but I can not remember it, I know it has something to do with a war, and an eagle flying over, but I don't know the details. Please help me out.

You're going to wish you got us this year, not next. Replacing Ali "The Giant Killer" Farohkmenesh, Adam "Conference Player of the Year", and Jordan "the...I don't have a good nickname for him...um...The 7 ft lane clogger" Egleseder won't beat easy for us. By the time the time comes that we play you again we will have something like 10 JR's and Sophomores that will have a full year or two of PT...and probably the best recruiting class at UNI ever (in terms of hype) stepping onto the floor.
