An Inside Look from the Coaching Staff: Had an excellent spring at a new position … brings speed to the position … provides tremendous speed in blitzing and coming off the edges … real physical ball player … can cover a lot of ground … will play deep sometimes … makes the defense stronger.

2009 (Fr.): Saw playing time in all 11 games as a true freshman … 84.4 percent of his season tackle total came against Big South opponents, as he recorded just five tackles before conference play opened … ranked fifth on the team in tackles among defensive backs … had a breakout game against Charleston Southern, finishing the road contest with a season-high eight tackles … had a game-saving tackle late in the contest against Charleston Southern, helping stop the Bucs as they were driving late to tie the game … tied a season high with four solo stops against Gardner-Webb … added five stops in a home victory over Presbyterian.

Prep: Enrolled at Liberty in January … transferred to Liberty from Fork Union Military Academy … started every game for Fork Union in 2008 … graduated from Ardrey Kell High School … was a Southwestern 4A all-conference defensive back in 2006 … was forced to sit out the 2007 season due to an injury.

2009 Season: Played in the first two games of the season before being sidelined by a broken bone in his hand…returned to play in the final three games of the year…finished the season with 55 rushing attempts for 199 yards and three touchdowns…also caught nine passes for 88 yards and was 2-for-2 on pass attempts for eight yards and a touchdown…carried the ball 29 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns in the win at Northern Colorado…the 100-yard game was the second of his career…the following week at Montana State he rushed for 26 yards, caught four passes for 58 yards and threw a 5-yard touchdown pass…broke off a career long 28-yard rush against UC Davis…also had one tackle at Cal Poly on kick coverage.

2008 Season: Ranked third on the team with 347 rushing yards…rushed for 109 yards on 20 attempts against Southern Oregon…also tallied 91 yards at Eastern Washington…scored his lone touchdown of the year against Weber State…caught three passes for 30 yards, including a 21-yard reception against Portland State.
