Montana Grizzly shirts for sale in Oregon

Post by JALMOND »

This weekend I was down in Eugene/Springfield and happened to go into the Sears store in the mall in Eugene (actually Springfield but close to the Eugene city limits). First thing I see is a full rack of long sleeved maroon Montana Grizzly shirts for sale (maybe 40 of them). My question, what kind of market is there in Eugene, Oregon, home of the Oregon Ducks, for Montana Grizzly merchandise?

Maybe they're trying to appeal to the Jordan Johnson fanbase in the Eugene area??

Did they have any orange jump suits with Masoli's name on the back??

I find Griz stuff here in Fargo all the time. Also found some in Danbury, CT last May when I was visiting my sister. Griz nation is everywhere.

I live between Eugene & Portland and I run across Griz gear every once in awhile - the Shopko in Salem is one place that seems to get the most Griz stuff.

You could be right but you may be wrong also. The Griz are one of the top 50 in college gear according to CLC so there may be some interest other than just the NW but if not then there are one hell of a lot of people in the NW with said interest.

It was a flagship Ross, so it was very swanky.

Actually, I know what the guy is saying, but the sweatshirts were on the rack.

As opposed to EWU, which isn't known OR liked, even in Cheney. :coffee:

That'd be sweet if it's true...BUT I find it very hard to believe that Montana sells more than Ohio State...and that Ohio State isn't even in the top 75. That list has something wrong with it.
