That is a tough schedule. OOC against an FCS playoff team, an FBS and an away game. UMass will be tested every week.

It could be tougher. The one CAA team they don't play is Villanova.

Re: 2010 UMass Schedule
That is a tough 7 week stretch:
Saturday, Sept. 18 - at Michigan
Saturday, Sept. 25 - at Stony Brook
Saturday, Oct. 2 - at Towson*
Saturday, Oct. 9 - Open Date
Saturday, Oct. 16 - RICHMOND*
Saturday, Oct. 23 - at New Hampshire*
Saturday, Oct. 30 - at James Madison*
I could easily see 1-5 (don't sleep on SBU).

I wouldn't underestimate Maine with what they have returning on Defense... looks like a tough 9 week stretch if you add Maine and UD in there
At least there's the bye week in the middle of that stretch.

Anything can happen any given week, but we beat the Big South Champs by 4 TDs last year.danefan wrote:That is a tough 7 week stretch:

Re: 2010 UMass Schedule
SBU was a much improved team at the end of the year and they have added a number of solid, play-right-away guys from Hofstra, Rutgers and JUCOs. They'll be much better next year than they were when they visited Amherst in 2009.LastMinuteman wrote:Anything can happen any given week, but we beat the Big South Champs by 4 TDs last year.danefan wrote:That is a tough 7 week stretch:

Re: 2010 UMass Schedule
I'd add Richmond to the W list...with a new QB...and totally new system, HC, OC, etc...I think the Spiders might need a new web...AZGrizFan wrote:It does NOT look good for the Minutiamen.Col Hogan wrote:2010 UMASS FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

Sorry, I didn't see Townson St in there. I'll make sure to properly smack you on my next attempt. I have forsaken you Andy, it shall not happen again. Please... forgive me.

Re: 2010 UMass Schedule
Very tough schedule for UMass. Beware of the Stony Brook game......especially following the trip to Ann Arbor.

Re: 2010 UMass Schedule
mj, right now I'd fear the SB game even without the Big House trip...I think our program ended the year with a bit of disarray (the nicest way I can put it)...mainejeff wrote:Very tough schedule for UMass. Beware of the Stony Brook game......especially following the trip to Ann Arbor.
Can the coaches get it together??? We picked up a couple of much needed position players with the downfall of Hofstra and Northeastern...but we still have a QB who looked lost by the end of the season...
