Central and South Flroida will only get better and have lots of upside.

ECU? They've been wanting this for years. Any idea, if it were to start with the 2010 year, how that would impact FCS teams looking to jump once the moratoriam is over? I am sure if it is a Big East team moving to the Big Ten, then that would pull a school from somewhere else. If it's ECU, that opens up a spot in CUSA, and perhaps so forth again.

UND matches up better with the Big Ten as they already play most of them in hockey. NDSU matches up better with the Big 12.

Yeah, I have family that are ECU alums. I got in there, but I prefer the mountains (or hills to you Rocky Mtn. folks). Booo! on OSU though. (Disclaimer: used to live in Michigan, comes with the territory) I'd like to see ECU do it, it'd be nice for them to somehow win the Big East and make a BCS game while the "Big 4" in North Carolina turn their attention back to basketball season.

Nothing like giving your competitors (other conferences) a heads up.

Of course, it could create extreme paranoia among many schools over the next year which would be pretty funny.

Yeah, I think ECU would be a good fit in the BE. It would be interesting to see what would happen if all of that came to pass. Especially in FCS land.

Iowa State would make the most sense. Their out of place in the Big 12. It might be a step down in eyes or many, but it would be for the best IMO.

If they''re serious, Notre Dame has to be the preferred candidate but if they can't get the Domers they would take Missouri over Iowa State. They already dominate Iowa and would like to get into the Kansas City market and better penetration in St. Louis. Plus they would view Missouri has a better all around academic match.

The Big Ten looked at the CAA and realized that it was the perfect model for creating the perception that some teams are much better than they actually are. Pound on patsies in the bottom half of the conference (since there aren't enough scheduled games to have to play the better teams) - which results in so many 1 or 2 loss teams that half the conference gets invited to post season games.
