HOME PLAYOFF GAMES
I just wanted to make sure everyone knows that your bid dicates whether you are home or not if you aren't a seed and not your record. Not sure if everyone knows that but it seems many people don't realize that teams like ASU, SC State, UNI, McNeese State, etc. are likely going to get a home game because of their bids if they are not seeds, regardless of their outcome this weekend or not.

Unless they are matched up against Seeds, which could be influenced by this weekend's games.

I don't remember the last time UNI had a road game that they weren't going to a seed.SpiderFan5 wrote:If UNI doesnt play a seeded team then they will get a home

I've heard with 99.9% certainty we WILL host if we aren't send to a seed. That would mean being last 4 in, and with a good win this week that won't be the case. However, with a tight win (less than a TD) we may be a last team in.
Re: HOME PLAYOFF GAMES
Meh. geography still plays more of a factor in pairings than record.danefan wrote:Unless they are matched up against Seeds, which could be influenced by this weekend's games.

It should also be pointed out that being sent to a seed does not mean you were one of the last four in since they still go by geography if they can. UNI won't have to worry about this though. All of the potential seeds have much closer possible opponents. Even if you lose this week (assuming you still get in) you'll get a seed.

The question is.... At what point will UNI preform their yearly choke-fest?mcveyrl wrote:It should also be pointed out that being sent to a seed does not mean you were one of the last four in since they still go by geography if they can. btw, I'd rather choke in November and December than in August and September like some.
UNI FIGHT
Re: HOME PLAYOFF GAMES
1994 was the last time that UNI went on the road to a team that wasn't a top 4 seed. (that might have been during the time that all 16 teams were seeded, though). They played at Montana in the first round.clenz wrote:I don't remember the last time UNI had a road game that they weren't going to a seed.
And in 1990, they played at Boise State (on the smurf turf).
Those are the only two instances thus far.
