Look, Delaware hasn't had less than 20,000 fans at a regular season game in a long time. If Newark hosted the NC game between NAU (they're going to the NC this year) and Elon... you'd have 10k AT THE MAX of Hen fans and that's being super generous and if the game were at JMU (about what Spokane is to Missoula) you could count the Hen fans on your hands. The reason I mention this is to show you this is not a slight to Griz fans.

I was being serious, I know you guys would get people together anytime a significant game is played in Missoula and I know you guys travel well. How well does the rest of the Big Sky? Great West? Would you guys in Missoula have to charter a flight like you do to chatty? Would people charter a flight to go see a game their team won't be playing in? I believe you guys have one of the strongest, loyalist, die hard fan bases out there... and I agree, fans over here should try to make it to Chatty (I'm thinkin about makin the trip this year... Keep ignoring the stats and make all kinds of wild claims about Montana fans driving the three hours to see Furman play UNI. Will some come? Sure. Will they come in great numbers. Please. IF (and that's a big if) the NCAA is stupid enough to put the game in Spokane, I'll be here so you can throw it in my face when Griz and Eagle fans pack the stadium to see Richmond play SIU.

It is what it is. Besides Southern, you probably have the best travelling fans (long distance) than anyone. I've never questioned that. And in an odd way... that could help keep the game east of the Mississisppi. Maybe now at least you're finally starting to see the reasoning.

Frisco has better average weather conditions in December (and January) than does Chattanooga.

Tacoma is not a I-AA locale. Cheney is. Take 5,000 Griz fans, 5,000 locals and 5,000 travelers and you've got just as good attendance as you do at Chatty. I would GUARANTEE you that (outside of the three ASU games) Cheney would have higher attendance than Chatty.
