Well, I don't know about Delaware...but here in Virginia, ODU is the school of last resort...

If you can't get into one of the top three (UVA, VA Tech, William & Mary), you try George Mason, VCU or JMU...if you can't get into there you move onto Norfolk State...and then if all else fails, you apply to ODU...

I mean, I guess that's true for some people.... But I chose ODU the week after I got the acceptance letter from them and months before I got my letters back from Tech or VCU....

Also JMU and GMU don't really have Engineering programs... which is what I'm majoring in.

I feel like quite a few memebers of this board were picked on quite a bit in real life and thus enjoy the anonymity of the internet quite a bit. I honestly came over here because I heard it was a good place to discuss football but considering the vast majority of the people on here either never played football or are too busy posting pictures of vanilla ice and stalking peoples face book accounts, I guess I was misinformed.

Wow, you really don't know anything do you? I think schools like Hampton and Norfolk State are the schools of last resort.

Maybe NSU, but Hampton's actually a pretty good institution. They're one of the "Black Ivy League" schools and enroll more black National Merit Scholars than some of the best schools in the country. ODU and Hampton engineering students regularly work together as well, and I definitely don't consider Hampton a last resort. I think with the amount of aid they give out, they attract some of the brightest black students around the country.

Ok, my apologies, I stand corrected. I'll admit academically I don't know much about either Hampton or NSU but I do remember hearing that HU does in fact have a pretty good engineering program. As for ODU, I like to believe that the Norfolk school has a great engineering program...trip, I'm sure can tell you all about that. I also attended ODU because they had one of the best sport management programs in the state of Virginia. ODU I also believe has one of the best sports medicine/athletic training programs in the country. Those few programs alone come to mind. I'll just say that can we please leave academics out of arguments? That's a whole different argument/conversation.

Beat Richmond and get a split with JMU and W&M and you're in the playoffs. It will be tough, but it can be done.

I don't what kind of rivalry ODU has with W&M, but W&M's traditional rival has been Richmond. Since W&M is out of playoff contention and they play Richmond the week after they play ODU, they may look past ODU.
