Big test here for the Hens - Maine's a solid team with a lot of upperclassmen. May not be a great team but they shouldn't really beat themselves. Hope AP's healthy and ready to play. And also get to see if Delaware's defense is really as good as they've shown these past 3 weeks or if it was just poor opposition offenses. And it's always tough playing in Orono.

That's a huge one - other than one wideout for West Chester I haven't seen anything since Navy that our defeense went up against that made you think someone was really good. ODU had a big but slow OL, Maine I suspect will be our biggest FCS test to date for the defense. Good run/pass mix it sounds like too.

Why the f is the 1st 2 1/2 pages of this thread mostly about ODU @ UD?

Why not start a new UD @ Maine thread like people said they were going to on page 3?

Mind your own business. And by business I mean drug counseling for your band of thugs. You're never going to get ground broken on the other half of your stadium going 6-5 with a team of felons, petty criminals, and an Elvis impersonator for a coach. :twocents:

Think maine pulls the upset here. I've seen televised games with CAA teams, but haven't seen Maine play. But I looking at their results and stats this I why I think Maine will pull the upset:
-UD has been playing their #2 QB since Sasek went down in their opener vs Navy.
-Pierce is banged up
-Maine is coming off bye week so Cosgrove has had 2 weeks to get them ready.
-Game is @ Maine, New England road game for UD.
-Maine raced out to a 28-0 lead over Bryant and 24-0 leads over Albany so those games weren't as close as they appeared (course neither was Maine's loss @ Pitt as Maine was down 35-15 middle of the 4th before getting 2 late TDs).
-Maine's QB Warren Smith in 3 games has completed 64% of his passes, thrown 5 TDs with 0 INTs and 0 fumbles.
-Maine has only turned the ball over ONE TIME in 3 games and is + 4 in TOs (lost one fumbles, has gotten 5 picks, 0 fumbles)
-Maine has a TB avg almost 100 yds per game, & looks like they have some balance on offense.

Back to Maine.
Bah ha ha....that's the lamest burn I've ever heard. As though being 0-1 in the CAA after having played last year's national runner up on the road in our first true CAA game in a very close game is something to be ashamed of? What a dolt!

There are a number of reasons UD could lose this game, many of which you've mentioned, but starting Tim Donnelly at QB (who was the CAA Offensive Player of the Week) is definitely not one of those reasons.

Keeler is right that this is a business trip, gotta stay focused on going 1-0 on Saturday.

Real big game because the rest of October's schedule looks a lot more watered down with both W&M and URI seemingly not anywhere near as good as people thought they'd be. We can worry about them later, I'm plenty worried about Maine despite MJ's annual sandbagging.

Razor's passionate, as well he should be - you've got a really really good program there.

Of course, you can't spell passionate without ass...

Game is on the CW (WABI-DT2) in the Bangor market and on WPME down in the Portland market. I know that doesn't help you Hen fans, but at least the game is televised.

It's only $7.95!!!!! Quit crying. Justin Thorpe can only get a 2 hour buzz from $7.95. You can get 3 hours of football for that amount.

Is it true the $7.95 is considered more of a 'donation' and merely gives you the right to purchase the streaming feed for $9.50?? If so, I'm just going to listen on the radio in boycott...but I'll probably still be at the Touchdown Club meeting.
