Abnar takes in a 40-yard TD run. Liberty's longest run prior to this was 8 yards.

just saying, I'd rather complete more passes. It'll equal more yards.Mvemjsunpx wrote:When you're averaging 12.1 yards-per-attempt, why would you even care?Ibanez wrote:

Liberty breaks a big run for a TD. Game over.
Re: Montana at Liberty
Liberty is usually legit. I was expecting the NDSU crushing Griz to show up. I'm just surprised.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Liberty is legitimately good, and they're at home. The Griz are good, but they're far from home.Ibanez wrote:Is UM having a bad night or is is LU this good? I can't tell.

On the road 2 time zones away in a non-conference game? That's just not a typical recipe for playing awesome.Ibanez wrote:Liberty is usually legit. I was expecting the NDSU crushing Griz to show up. I'm just surprised.Mvemjsunpx wrote:

At least it's not the 2004 Sam Houston game. Griz lost 41-29, but it was 41-10 at one point.

Re: Montana at Liberty
The game is definitely going at Liberty's pace. Each team only has 50-something plays thus far.

I keed, I keed.I get your point. I'm just saying, I'm shocked. He's averaging 11yds per pass, which is good.

Re: Montana at Liberty
Griz aren't going to rally with their backup...who can't seem to even catch a snap when in the shotgun. Liberty hasn't been impressive either. Tough game to digest.

Liberty decides to take an intentional safety.

I don't buy the two time zone thing when you are going east and its a night time kick.Mvemjsunpx wrote:On the road 2 time zones away in a non-conference game? That's just not a typical recipe for playing awesome.Ibanez wrote:

Maybe an 11am or noon kick I'd buy

Does this mean Montana loses next week too? ala: MSU a few years ago?clenz wrote:I don't buy the two time zone thing when you are going east and its a night time kick.Mvemjsunpx wrote:

I didn't say it was an excuse, it's just the reason I picked the Griz to lose this game coming in (aside from Liberty being a good team, of course).SDHornet wrote:Agree. Weak excuse.clenz wrote: I don't buy the two time zone thing when you are going east and its a night time kick.

Home-field seems to have a bigger impact in the non-conference season than it does later.

Re: Montana at Liberty
Weak excuse....now starting QB going down with an injury is legitimate. Last time I pick UM in the BSC pickum during a toss up game. Clearly that NDSU game win was a fluke.Mvemjsunpx wrote:I didn't say it was an excuse, it's just the reason I picked the Griz to lose this game coming in (aside from Liberty being a good team, of course).SDHornet wrote: Agree. Re: Montana at Liberty
That starting QB had no experience before NDSU. Knowing we have to go with the backup now might mean he will do okay going forward. I hope.SDHornet wrote:Weak excuse....now starting QB going down with an injury is legitimate. Last time I pick UM in the BSC pickum during a toss up game. Chalich played quite well in the second & third, not so much the fourth.Vidav wrote:That starting QB had no experience before NDSU. Tough loss for the Griz, but it's not a disaster. Now losing to NAU, that would be a disaster. If they can get by that one, Montana should be 5-2 heading to Portland on Halloween.

Good chance PSU may be 5-2 as well. That would be a great game.Mvemjsunpx wrote:Tough loss for the Griz, but it's not a disaster. Now losing to NAU, that would be a disaster. If they can get by that one, Montana should be 5-2 heading to Portland on Halloween.
