So let me see if I understand your reasoning here: Montana throttles the #12 team in the nation 30-6, holding them to no TD's for the first time in SIX YEARS, then goes on the road to beat an UND team 55-17 that beat them last year and put up a school record 660 passing yards....meanwhile, Montana State has beaten MONMOUTH (a NON-SCHOLLY independent that has subsequently lost to LIBERTY and LEHIGH) and Division II Colorado Mesa, while losing to perenial FBS afterthought SMU....and it's MONTANA that doesn't have the signature win?
I think the ASU signature win has turned out about like our signature win vs. you guys last year. It sounded great at the start until you had a below average season. If App rallies then maybe, but right now I wouldn't put that particular win down as indicative of how good or bad UM is this year. You have a solid team for sure, but we're certainly looking like a transitional team so far.
This.
Read Egriz for the first time in a while tonight - gone completely full retard. It's like the Griz already have the chipper in the bag.
Not a win but performance against SMU a ACC team. Even a loss to SMU by 1 point is still a better performance than a win over a crappy App state or over a middle BSC team. Until Montana wins more and MSU gets beat.
Hey, Sapper....does MSU have that signature win, yet?

That's because most of the starters didn't play past the first quarter.
And Panhandle State is a DII…
excuses...
The football team plays in the NCAA Division II Independent Football Alliance with several games from the Central State Football League of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) so basically NAIA does not help.

I have said nothing about ISU. I am making objective observations. If you would like me to talk about ISU I can ISU put up over 500 yds in each of our 2 games and averaged 8.5 pts against us with multiple non starters playing. We let Dixie score 14 but we are ISU and not claiming to be #1. Yes we got crushed by UW but will take the money.

UM
31 points in 9 minutes of football. OPSU has 12 yards of offense in the 1st quarter. TWELVE. How bad do you think that game could have gotten if we'd stuck with our 2's? Every single player (all 63 of them) that dressed for this game got into the game. THAT, my friend is how you squeeze value out of a game against a sadly overmatched team. The only other team we may be able to do that against this year would be ISU.

Worse than the Savannah State v. Miami game....a game the coaches decided to stop early. Miami 77-7

I think his original argument is that UM does not have a quality win.
I would agree with that. UM definitely looks like a good team, but I think they will face some bigger tests than what they have in the first three games. All this NC talk over on Egriz is a bit premature, IMO.

I really like that SUU is flying under the radar and will be ready to pounce come playoff time.

Just because app State started out 0-2 doesn't make the win NOT a quality win. When they finish the season 8-4 or 9-3, ya'll will be eating those words.

Maybe. I think it's more likely that your win over them this season will end up being akin to their win over UM last season. A good win, but not nearly as big as it should be.
And do you REALLY think App will finish 9-3? I am thinking 7 to 8 wins is far more likely.

Well, theyre not beating Georgia, so to get to 7 wins means they go 6-2 the rest of the way in FCS, which means 7-2 in conference...which makes them a pretty fucking good win IMHO.

Honestly the quality win talk from sapper and others who are claiming the Griz are still not good is bs. We've dominated our first three games. Does that mean we're a lock for the chipper? Absolutely not. But the way this team has played the first three games, you can be damn sure this team will be damn tough to beat by anyone in the FCS this year.

We could beat NDSU by 3 TDs and sucker would still find a way to discredit us. It's what fans of loser teams do.

If UM beat NDSU by 3tds I would be the first person to argue that UM is the #1 team. UM has not so until more ball is played they are #3 in the BSC.
