Wait, so Jerome FINALLY manages to beat the Griz and not orchestrate an epic meltdown (in the regular season, at least) and NOW you want to give him the boot? Yeesh.
why does everybody love jerome?

I don't, I just think it's funny that you think he should be out of there as soon as he finally starts building some momentum. Do you think NAU would be better off next year without him? What if you make the QFs or better?

ya everybody knows that. maybe you also like him because he has nau as an easy w for the griz every year  . punting on 3rd down and freezing his own kicker. souers has been living the dream over here. he gets to coach and has no responsibility. he could run out in pads one day and take a few snaps and nobody in the dome would notice. hopefully as more attention comes to athletics, the more educated fans we will get and this wont be acceptable.

not sure because the season hasnt played out. for me personally it would take a run in the playoffs. for dr. campos it would prob be a little less and for the previous ad it would take nothing. and thats why souers got a 4 yr contract extension

I'd say if NAU wins their next couple of games, it's a pretty safe bet that they're "for real".

Jerome is going nowhere. The biggest change in the program is the new AD. Add to that the new OC and a ton of talent and its a whole new ball game.

Most of this team will be back next season...sorry guys...but NAU will be even better next year. Grossert goes but they have 2 quality back ups who both have taken snaps this year. A deep redshirt and scout freshman team will make them a force ..again.

Everyone is so quick to dump on the coach when things go south....give him some props when things go right.

And your right...it pains me to say it...alot of Griz on this staff...quality experience.

If "everybody" knows that, why did you ask "why does everybody love jerome?"

Souers is a great guy! I'm happy that NAU is doing so well this season, and I honestly hope their winning continues!

Jerome deserves it!

It one thing to get to the top, it's a completely other thing to stay there. And anyway, let's just see how the rest of the regular season and playoffs go. NAU is a good team this season, no doubt, although the staff has very little experience in the playoffs.

dont tell me havent had talent in recent years. the last couple of years we played the griz right down to the wire, and those were really good griz teams. remember michael herrick, matt estrada, edd berry, alex henderson, k.j gerrard among others? we have had talent here. souers has been here for 15 years. what is his overall winning percentage? .481. conference win perc.? .456. we have done better than 6-5 just twice. i understand he helped do some good things at montana, but what he has done up here wouldnt cut it in montana. hell theyre ready to crucify the guy they have there now after one season. i think its great what our team has done so far, but we cant just forget how awful souers really is.............yet. go jacks

wow. You clearly know what you are talking about. I bet you were one of those guys saying we were going to kick ASUs ass. One of those uneducated fans who said after the loss "asu would never be able to beat NAU in the skydome, and created the facebook group BRING ASU TO THE SKYDOME." I am not gonna get in an argument with one of my own though, no matter how uneducated on NAU fb you might be. Go jacks

I don't care how educated you think I'm not and you are they are 7-1 atop the Big Sky with a ton of talent coming back next year and you're calling for the coach to turn in his whistle. Explain yourself

I'm with Ocean on this one...explain yourself. :wtf: The team is 7-1 and they are practicing and playing with a great attitude. STF up about the coach and be a true fan and watch and enjoy this special season. Your pissin me off as much as some of the Griz fans did before the season but kudos to them they are REAL knowledgable football fans and have great pride in their program.

And as far as the other teams they may have had talent but they never finished. They also didnt have the right attitude or commitment. I heard horror stories and personally saw that a lot of those guys never gave a sh%t. The partied and went soft. They didn't put half the work in this current team did and it is paying off. These guys were in Flagstaff all summer workin it.This team has a chip on their shoulder and they are tough MF's.

Sure NAU had talent before but they never performed up to their potential. Stop blaming the Fuc&in Coach man. And by the way where wer you before the season started? :tothehand:
