Not surprised this game sold out as soon as it did. If it didn't......

I'm interested in seeing how many "railbirds" will be at the top of the parking garage on Saturday. I think from the top 2 or maybe even three levels you can catch a good view of the game.

Also thanks to any NSU fans that joined the ODU season ticket waiting list, Bobby said tonight when we get to 8K we are moving forward with the expansion of Foreman Field to 35K and we're over half way there.

This game would have sold out 35K no problem, even with the kids on break. Actual Dr Wood said on the radio, they could have sold 45K-50K. StubHub and craiglist are reselling around $150-$200/ea, hope the game lives up to what some think it's worth.

BTW, does anyone know if NCAA playoff rules prohibit MEAC bands to play during actual gameplay? When Hampton visited ODU this year, that's all they did and it was really annoying. I know NSU's band is even bigger and louder so I'm hoping the rules disallow it.

Yes, it is prohibited. SIU came to UD in 2003 and complained about the UD band playing their traditional tunes in the 3rd quarter where sections of the band march through the stands. So the band was not allowed to perform as they had for as long as I've been alive. Perhaps SIU should have worried more about playing football.

The game was over in the first quarter (wasn't it 35-0 or something like that?). SIU should have been happy the band was playing and taking the attention away from their terrible performance that day.

What a shame for New York College football... People won't go out of their way to see a college football game. Even worst at the FCS level. The buzz for ODU/NSU is pretty amazing. Va Tech and UVA play Saturday for the ACC Coastal title, but the Monarchs and Spartans are what everyone's talking about in Tidewater. Shame there isn't a bigger venue cause I think this one could have sold 50,000. Tickets on Craigs List and Stubhub for $100+.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how did this work? If you weren't already a season ticket holder or on the waiting list for season tickets, it's not like you could go to coxtix.com and say you were an alum and buy tickets.

Can't argue with that, but most of the tics on Craigs List appear to be from ODU season ticket holders. A couple even said they'd only sell to ODU fans.

If you couldn't go to the game you could have let the waiting list have them.
Not as many NSU fans will be able to get them as you may think though. This is a game that everyone (even casual fans) want to see in our area.
The tailgates are fun, and we have lots of things to do.
