Big Sky Playoff Teams: 2?3?4?

the way the big sky is going we need ewu to get in. a 7 game win streak is a hot team, same with bobs. might as well send hot teams as they would have a better chance to do something in the post season. plus ewu knows what it takes.

i think sac will win out and not lose which makes them 7-4. weber needs to win in missoula, yikes.

Sacramento State: Currently 3-4, 2-3 BSC.

vs. NAU - This game might come down to whether or not Flemming can play. Sac's dual-QB system was effective at times against EWU with Flemming out, but I don't know whether they will win many games doing that. NAU is balanced offensively and should be able to exploit Sac's small-ish secondary. Toss-up, with slight advantage to Sac being at home.

@ Portland State - Most difficult game on the remaining schedule. Another toss-up, with slight advantage to PSU at home.

The dual-QB thing was more than effective. They racked up about 550 yards yesterday, which I'm pretty sure is a season-high (Sac was 8th. in the Big Sky in total offense coming in).

And don't forget that PSU is without McCaffrey now, so it's hard to think of them as favored even at home.

Yeah, should have read 8-0 BSC for MSU. I'm not sure that Sac's yardage yesterday didn't have more to do with horrible tackling and missing 5 defensive starters than it did the dual-Qb system they ran which is not what they would have gone with had Flemming been healthy enough to play. I'm not a big fan of the 2 Qb system. It's hard for a Qb to get into a rythym when they are in only during certain possessions or situations and it becomrs fairly predictable for defenses to start figuring out what plays are going to be called when QB X or Y is in the game. I have to imagine it can also mess with a player's confidence. Name one QB the starter and go with him until he can't get the job done, and then go with someone else.

Well, my point was that having Fleming out didn't hurt them. They might have more trouble if a team is expecting the new QBs, but I don't know what Fleming's injury status is.

The bigger question for Sac is whether they can get past their weak special teams and inconsistent defense.

really though you want to send the best teams possible to the post season from your conference. this is why the regular season champion hosts the big sky tourney in basketball. unfortunately it has happened a lot in recent yrs LOL. let see - weber, weber, nau, psu,
