SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Can't fault him for being short. He should have had some safety help...but it probably wouldn't have mattered anyways.Herky wrote:Damn Kyle Monson!SDHornet wrote: Don't use a 5'6" corner to defend him, it doesn't work.

I tried to go along the lines of players who are returning who actually did something the previous season. Seeing as WSU has a solid OL, I went with a solid running game as being the component that keeps WSU alive. I didn't feel compelled to put unproven QB's as the "must have" player to keep a teams scoring ability alive.weberwildcat wrote:not sure why booker is on the list.

So....then what's your logic for picking Sambrano for the Griz?SDHornet wrote:I tried to go along the lines of players who are returning who actually did something the previous season.

Re: BSC Poll: Most important offensive player?
I can see why you included Booker on this list. Booker, and the other Weber running backs, WILL be very important to the teams success. I think we will see Weber running the ball a lot this year. Coach Mac has always tended to favor the run (he loves smash mouth football), and from what we have seen this fall, the running game could be quite good. That said, Hoke will be part of the running game (he runs well), will need to balance the running game with a more limited but efficient passing game, and will be looked to to help limit the turnovers that have killed the Weber offense the past two years (Cam Higgins). Plus, there is more unknown to Hoke than there is to Booker. And, IMO, no other position in sports is even close to being as important to a team's success as the QB is to a football team's success.SDHornet wrote:I tried to go along the lines of players who are returning who actually did something the previous season.
