The only way we could ever get two teams from out West not to play early is if they both were to get seeds and that is very, very unlikely so I agree that we just have to live with it in the state that it's in because the NCAA ain't changing.
Col Hogan, for the last time. first of all, damn the ncaa for a sec. 80% of 1aa team ore on east coast. having said that, the west teams who DO MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, [since there are so few] should play an EAST COAST team first round AND second round.
reason why?
1; because they wont have to eliminate each other
2; they probably will lose along the way, which will iron itself out.
problems;
1; if both teams make it to the semi finals they then play each other to see who goes to the championship.
2; if three teams advance to playoffs [ex. cal poly, weber montana]the big sky team that lost to the other [montana] would play cal poly in second round. while weber plays non-west/mid-west region team.
thus eliminating one of 3 west teams, and final two west teams[ if applicable, bc weber could have also lost in their second round game] play each other in semi finals.
for all that dont kno, the 90% rule is in effect. aka blackfalkin is correct 90% of the time.
