Oh, without a doubt. I'm really worried about that game as well as NAU. Sac's definitely an improved program this year and they're going to win games in the BSC. They took Montana down to the wire in Missoula and damn near won last night.

Overall, the BSC seems more balanced this year and I don't think anyone escapes conference play without a loss. Sac, NAU, and PSU all seem to have improved in the off-season and will win games. The only teams that are really out of contention at this point are ISU, UNC, and Weber........sorry Weber, just my opinion - your remaining schedule is brutal and I don't think you'll get through it.
I agree, but I am also having trouble seeing yet where NAU and PSU will ultimately fit in, We really dont have a lot to measure either team by right now. I havent been able to really watch either team yet this year, I caught part of the PSU game last night but it was in garbage time against ISU. I expect both to be improved but dont have a lot to base that opinion on right now.

UC Davis beats San Jose State in a close game, Weber beats UC Davis in a methodical fashion and PSU simply rolls UC Davis as they score on every possession and then roll Idaho State the same way. I would describe NAU as last years Bobcat team except with Herrick at qb taking advantage of talent. PSU scares me because they have loaded up talent in recent years at the skill position and in the secondary and are utilizing it this year. They are running ball 40-60 times for 4.7 or better average and getting great play action pass off of it with an experienced group that has worked together....sound familiar.

Either one of these team could come in a smack everybody else around and it wouldn't surprise me but my guess would be Portland State at this moment..

Besides Idaho State and UNC whose front lines get dominated, I would expect everybody could beat everybody and if Taiwon Jones gets back to full strength watch out. Whoever makes it to the playoffs in the Big Sky will have been tested.

Thanks for the kind words, Bbcat, but it's early days yet. Going over the stats I'm bamboozled by the number of penalties we piled up. Way too many freshmen playing. Yes, we do run a lot - quite a change from last year. But running's going to be a lot harder against MSU. Note that the quarterback ran for around 125 yards; that's the Pistol. We look a lot like Oregon's Spread, except that they're around 5 times faster. And our QB runs more. Maybe. I don't know what tricks Burton has up his sleeve for Montana State, but on the whole I don't hink MSU has anything to worry about. PSU is still re-building.
