Hell, I missed the first one altogether. Extra good job then.
The first one was just a regional cover for Iowa, parts of MN, IL, WI, MO, NE, and SD I believe. I'll have to find my copy and see if I can scan it. We had a nice 3 or 4 page spread in it too.

I'll grant that the "Fassels" is an obscure reference for Weber State I made up. However, I did NOT make up every such reference I use. For instance, I stole the "Kitty"reference for Montana State lock, stock, and barrel from the Griz. LOL.
Why don't you just use the school name, that way everyone will know what you are talking about.

Well...maybe not you.

clenz, we were not on the cover before. We had a big story in SI earlier this year, but we were not on the cover.

I can't figure out how you managed to imagine this.

Cap'n Cat sent me a UNI T-shirt after their Homecoming loss to SIU. I'm going to wear it the Rec today while I work out. Good Job Panthers. :thumb:

BTW, SIU plays UNI at SIU's first Homecoming in the new stadium this year. Hope to see some of you guys there. The new stadium is in a good location for tailgating. :thumb:

If anyone wants to send me a UNI t-shirt I will sport it and post pics on here. Or any team for that matter. I used to collect college shirts, half don't fit me anymore cuz I started doing it at 10. PM me.

Anyways, I don't see how this win would attract top athletes to fcs football. Please explain.
Before the name changed from IAA to FCS, IA basketball coaches would use the IAA football label to discourage recruits from attending our schools saying they weren't able to compete for a real national championship against/with the IA schools. Eliminating that label helped reduce that class discrimination.
Hell, football coaches still use the label. Even coaches in I-AA still use I-AA.
