LA paid to get their way, but IM TRYING TO TELL YOU, UR had it easy bc the construction WAS ALREADY GONNA HAPPEN. Grandma down on main st. doesn't know the difference between a stadium w/or without a track. I dont care what kinda approval they had, all they had to do was rip up that track on the first day. Whats grandma gonna do? Demand that they put the track back down? C'MON!

Renting a gradall for a couple days and a couple rows of bleachers can't cost that much. And the seats would pay for themselves in a couple years. You need to push for it or the school will be letting itself down.

Seriously. Where's the fallacy in his argument? If the field's getting torn up, just tear the track out, lower the field, put in new seats and then put in the red turf. It really would pay for itself pretty quick.

I do worry about that, but the hope is that they will arrive for tailgating over a longer period of time, and park all over campus. The Robins Center does seat 9,000 and they have had many crowds that large over the years as well, so it is not a completely new occurrence.

Resident tuition (only) is what, $5k, maybe $6k a year? UR is $40k. Want a room and 3 squares add another $12k. And the Robbins families, Ukrops families and all the other UR benefactors are likely in better financial shape than the state of Washington. In this environment state schools have more pressures to cut than privates do.
