can't tell if you are kidding or not.... If you are a first round team, and you win, you always play a seeded team in the second round.
Wasn’t sure about that and was too lazy to look. An 8-4 Griz team might not be a playin game...

I predict that we suck and two Big Sky teams make the quarters.

I get your confusions... It has been a while since you have been there... :kisswink: ... They Seed the top 8 teams now, and they all get a bye. First round is the 16 non-seeded teams. I can't see a 8-4 team being a top 8 seed. With the griz tough Schedule, it may happen.

An 8-4 MT would be a LOCK. Heck, a 7-5 MT would get consideration, but think would be left out.
Looked at you'all's schedule-
-A P5,
-no Div II (N Bama is playing a full Div I scheduled, so I assume they are fully transitioned, or at least count as Div I).
-@ a decent MVFC
-playing top 4 projected Big Sky.

A 9-3/7-1 MT would be a lock for a seed (but not 9-3/6-2-think Big Sky will be get 2 seeds).

Being able to skip the playin game could facilitate two home games, depending on how the playoffs shook out.

I don't see any way an 8-4 Griz team would get a seed. The 10-2 Griz team from 2013 barely got a seed, so I don't see how this year's team going 8-4 would get one.

A team would have to play 3 FBS games to get a seed with 4 losses, IMO.

Future dreaming here but 10/26 is a huge date with EWU @ Montana and Weber @ Davis. Weber is good enough to run the conference table but if they could get an FCS scalp it would be even more interesting.

Then the next week you could have a 9-1 MSU at Davis ahead of the brawl.

Hot damn...I’m getting fired up in July!

Let's hope 10/26 is still relevant by 10/26. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Probably, but 8-4 still means no seed at all. :coffee:

Excellent work as always mvevm. I'm not that optimistic about this season, but I love the HC hire by our admin and I love the coaching staff that was assembled. Easily the best one on paper as far as I can recall, lots of relevant D1 experience.

I have Sac at 2 wins (D2, UNC), 4 tops (CP, Idalol). Our schedule is absolutely brutal. The other winnable games are CP and Idalol which are both on the road. CP comes after a pretty tough stretch of games, and Idalol is the latter half of back to back road trips.

As far as the roster goes, it isn't completely bare and there is some talent but too many holes imo. Thomson will get hurt at some point (do I hear an 8th year? ) and our WRs are unproven. On the defensive side, we are pretty weak and unproven at LB and DB. DL should be ok if they stay healthy. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks.

For Sac's 4 wins, I picked SOU, NoCo, Montana (homecoming), & Cal Poly.

I would like our chances a lot more if we weren't play in Bozeman the week prior.

Now for the Bengal picks:
Thanks Jeff Tingey for 12 games and no Bye week, great goodby present

Western Colorado W
At Utah- no way. L
At UNI - if in Poky. Maybe L
Portland State W
At UM even games ISU out plays them they lose L
No Dak. Beat them there last year so a W
At Vandulls. They are still pissed at 62-28 L but very close
SUU they are down W
UNC see above W
EWU uh, no L
At BYU Thank God Tingey no longer AD, L
At Weber, not this year L

5-7 not bad considering no bye, 2 body bag games,
If Qb situation is better than I think then they flip Idaho and UNI games. Very hard schedule, new AD seems to have a brain so this crap should cease down the road.

The Griz scheduled that same scenario in 2008. They actually ended up playing games in 16 consecutive weeks because they went to the title game that year. That probably explains why the Richmond game went the way it did… :?
