This alone drives all kinds of decisions. Building stadiums and basketball arenas takes major cash outlays. Kids on scholy using hard to obtain scholy money for things they are not allowed to purchase with said money under NCAA rules might not result in suspensions at Clem$on, but a cash strapped program like CSUs it's a different story. They are sending a message.
I tend to bring up Econo-man in these conversations. CSU got what it deserved. Any research into the mans credentials would have raised an alarm.
