How about this: Knock out the lower section of the seating area on the west side, creating enough space to store the turf. then rebuild the stands in over top. Perhaps make it so that the bottom section in one part can be raised/moved in order to facilitate moving the turf in/out of that under-bleacher storage cave.
Though that kind of remodel might be cost-prohibitive.
