Because they should have been taking a knee at that point. :coffee:
Taking a knee while down one point seems like a BOLD strategy..?

Grizspeak - noun - a boilerplate response to any real or perceived slight of the Griz Football Program. Grizspeak invariably references:

1. the opponents team luck
2. that they have won no national championships
3. injured/incarcerated Griz players who if healthy would make them unbeatable
4. the capacity and atmosphere of Wash Griz Stadium

Used in a sentence:

Bob: "Man I can't believe the Griz lost by 70"

Ursus: "Yeah, but WashGriz was packed and if we had Jennings healthy we would have won. Those 40 consecutive pass completions were lucky. Oh, and how many NC's have the Mildcats won??? Thought so."

Bob: "Dude, take a chill pill. That's Grizspeak."
All that keyboard diarrhea, and my post had absolutely nothing to do with the Griz. :dunce:

I went with Southern Utah and SDSU, because Chuck South @ Troy is against the rules.

This one is easy. I mean really. Do you really even have to ask?

UNI is irrelevant. They're right on the heels of Deleware.

Went with Nova/Fordham.

UNI did not look good against Iowa State last week. They need to wake up for EWU or it could be a long day. Kalm, are you going to make it to the game?

No they're not. To me they're easily one of the top 10 I-AA/FCS programs in terms of sustained excellence and arguably one of the top 5. You can see that in the numbers at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_N ... es_by_team" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. It's got a sortable table so you can click the arrows and see how teams ranked through 2014 in terms of playoff appearances and wins. UNI is #3 among current FCS programs in playoff appearances and #4 in playoff wins. If you include consideration of former I-AA/FCS programs they're #5 and #7.

To me they have a better sustained program than most programs that have won national championships and that includes Eastern Washington. Some day we might reach the point of saying Eastern Washington has that level of sustained, consistent success over a long period but it's going to take a decade or two for that to happen IF it happens.

For over three decades now UNI has almost always been a factor. Different players, different coaches. Same quality football program.

Your stats are not factoring in playoff success relative to ranking. They should have at least several NC. It will take NDSU, Illinois State and SdSu and Montana moving up to FBS for them to be relevant again.

They're horrendous in big games.

Your priorities are all out of whack. :D I'll have a beer for you to try and make up for it.

Game with a team that acts like they've won it every year vs the only team that when they get into the playoffs acts like they NEVER want to win one...

And that will continue as long as Mark Farley is the coach. :x
