Charleston Southern expanding seating this week

Oh yeah, that would've worked great I forgot all about that incident, what a clown that guy was.

But back on CSU's stadium, one thing I wish they would have forseen is not having a track around the field. Having the fans so far back from the team and field hurts any gameday atmosphere. Every stadium I've ever been too with a track around it seems less fun, just the big space and gap.

The seating is important. At hte CCU game last year, they had that one set of stands turned around and locked so that it couldn't be picked up and moved. What is with CSU and those portable stands that are never facing the stadium!?

Oh yes. Those belong to the track team. Some egos have gotten involved in the past about whose seats belong where. Its quite stupid!

If CSU would just expand it to hold 8k and add more permanent restrooms that would be good enough to get by.

Thanks. I played there so 4 years of blood sweat tears is on that campus, and as modest as it may be, seeing that program grow....as slow and steady as it may be....is wonderful. We are the tortoise. ..not the hare. But we'll get there one day!

Well...todays Post and Courier had an article with Citadel alumni bitching about playing at CSU. Asking why the AD would send them on a road game to a stadium that only seats 4, 000. Um, SoCon powerhouse Samford doesnt seat a ton more, at 6, 000. But nevermind that.

The Citadel AD was quoted, assuring everyone that they are taking this game seriously, and criticizing what he believes is fan apathy towards this game (um...hope they realize CSU beat them last year, and their 0-2 dogs are in desperate need of a win).

He added that Citadel barely sold any of its allotment of tickets, and actually send most of them back to CSU. Haha, seems CSU stadium is plenty big enough to host Citadel if thats the case. Maybe only fans like Coastal, SC State and Newberry are loyal enough to follow their teams....no matter how big the opponent stadium is.

Win or lose Saturday, one thing remains true: Citadel folks need to get over themselves.

Actually no, I'd expect CSU to win this one, and if they don't, they let one get away. Where has all this talk been about CSU winning the series in the last 5 years or something? Chuck South beat them last year...they should beat them again this weekend. If they don't it will be a big disappointment for them.

Actually no, I'd expect CSU to win this one, and if they don't, they let one get away. Where has all this talk been about CSU winning the series in the last 5 years or something? Chuck South beat them last year...they should beat them again this weekend. If they don't it will be a big disappointment for them.

My rant has been more towards the arrogance and attitude of their fans, not about our actually players being better than theirs. I think CSU could win this one, but if you look, it hasn't been the theme.

On paper, Citadel has higher profile recruits, more money, FAR better facilities, higher coaches salaries. All things considered, we shouldn't be on the field with them. But we are, and sometimes we beat them.

Doesn't mean all of a sudden their players are D2 quality.

But my issue is 99% with their fans, or, alumni. People living in Charleston long enough will eventually meet enough of them to know why. You'd think they are all ex-SEALS the way they act. And I have huge respect and owe my freedom to the ex cadets who DID enter the military.

The arrogant ones are the ones who went there, didn't enter the military, but instead became a Trident Tech campus police officer, and treats the students like knobs haha!
