But yes, Since this Saturday will be in week 1, the following Saturday will be in week 2, then week 3, etc... That's how numbers work.
So week two runs from yesterday through Sarurday the 6th. Got it.
You know what I mean. Having one game last weekend doesn't mean that was the first week of college football. If that was the first week, why would all the other teams wait for week 2?

1 vs 1,000 but keep insisting you're right.
Which week did college football start?
The last day of the week of August 17th. What's your point? It's still one game. For scheduling purposes, it was their first week but for overall college football it was not.

Truth. But it's in no way inappropriate to describe it as the first week. It's like "7 Days Left" threads. I would base it on the start of the season, not when my team plays or when most teams play.

But you ARE basing it on when your team played. In fact, you're basing it on when only 2 teams played while 99% of college football wasn't. That was your week 1, I get it. That's correct. But for 99% of the teams out there, this is week 1. And for all the teams in this thread, this is week 1 because it's the first week they've played football this season.

If St. Francis had played Gardner-Webb I would have still called it week one.

I guess we'll have to take your word on that.
I don't recall there ever being a game the Saturday before everyone else starts, so this is a little bit of uncharted territory. That said, it seems you are alone in your beliefs. Maybe a few other EWU are caught up in the semantics too, but when 999,999 of 1,000,000 people call this week one...

Bonarae is with me too.
I like FCS and when it gets highlighted as the first game of college football I think that's special. Whether we played or not.
