CSU needs to seriously upgrade the stadium. I have it on good authority that the Colorado game paid for lights so night games will be coming in a season or two.

Won't be the first time the stadium has reached capacity. Have had a full house and more on many occasions. The last one being the gave against CCU in 2005 before that it was the SC State game. Expect additional seating to be in place tomorrow to accommodate the overflow.

Not the first time. SC State in 1998 is the record, over 7,000 I think. Coastal in 2005 was full. A couple games in 2000 were full too, Wofford was one.

PM me your cell so we can get together before the game. Looks more like 11 or so when I will get there now. Forgot the wife has a woman's breakfast at church this morning that does not let out until 1030.

Standing in line for tix. The place is filling up. It's good to see so many CCU fans make the trip. Should be a great time.

Want to eat my crow pie to be fair. I did not see this coming at all, even though I have said for many weeks that CCU is overrated. You have to give credit to CSU for the win and a big congratulations to Bucsdad.
CSU looks like it now deserves its 16th place ranking and CCU should drop out of the polls, but won't. They will probably still be ranked above the Bucs. LOL

Heck of a game. CCU pulled it together too late. We will drop out of the top 10 for sure.

I am pretty sure the Bucs gained a good bit of respect they did not have before the game started.

First off - Congrats! Remarkable turnaround for the Bucs!

Second - did CSU gain more respect, or will CCU lose more respect?

I'll say. CSU's best win prior to this was probably The Citadel. Now their resume jumps from questionable to good.

Does this set up yet another annual Big South season-ending choke job (CSU plays Liberty at the end)? ;)

I don't see Coastal losing any with a 9-1 record but CSU has earned it. Those boys fought hard. Coastal never got a running game started and they never stopped Reyes.

SO PROUD!!! We dont have enough history to smack talk the doubters. Gotta earn respect. And inch by inch CSUh has fought for that the past 15 years. One step closer today.........but DAMN IT WAS A BIG STEP!!! GO BUCS!

Yeah Baptist College dorms are THE PLACE to be after hours.

Drive all the way to Ladson in the middle of the night to listen to Michael J Smith albums and get blue nuts.

Haha, you obviously don't know CSU girls that well. But one thing is for sure. This year, we have better girls, and better football, at our Hwy 52 campus than The Citadel.

You want me to hook you up with playoff tix? I know you guys in preseason were hoping to go. Still can haha!

I'll take my occasional once every 5-10 years of eating crow to CSU.

That's 2 in 8 years. And they've played 7 times since 02. Citadel won in 02, 03, 05. CSU won in 05 and 13, lost in 07, 12. And CSU didn't become a fully funded 1-AA team til after 2003. It had 36 scholarships before that, and got the full 65 after.

Which means since becoming fully funded and the 2005 game, CSU vs Citadel is a .500 rivalry. 2-2 in 8 years. So, you may want to recount the Crow Bites. So really.......the last 8 years, Coastal Carolina and Liberty have been a tougher win for CSU to land than has The Citadel.

And CSU is a young team. Winning with a R-FR QB, and a 1st year coach who is just getting his system installed. Which means next year, we'll be stronger, faster, more experienced, and understand the Chadwell system better. You guys lose your QB, and some key upperclassmen.

But maybe Citadel stops scheduling us. Afterall, look at the recruiting pull we have now over Citadel: Better food, better football, better girls, and, you can sleep in and stay out late on weekends haha!!!

That's once in about every 5-10 years, Bubba.

And we won't stop scheduling CSU. Most years it is an easy win and it will be again.

Well, it's been twice in 7 years. Or, about once every 3.5 years. 2-2 since 2005. Must be that Citadel math for ya.

"Most years"? Well, again, CSU became fully funded, moving from 36 scholarships in 2004 (the year The Citadel cancelled the CSU game, and refused to reschedule it because it rained...and because CSU was getting better while CItadel was getting worse).......to 65 scholarships, the full 1-AA allotment. Having fewer is a big disadvantage.

Since doing that, Citadel vs CSU is a .500 rivalry, 2-2.

You guys are the old school SoCon power, huge stadium, huge alumni base, far superior facilities, national name recognition.

And you're in a dogfight to keep a .500 record since 2005 against a team that cant even seat 5,000 people at it's stadium.

Yeah, bubba, Citadel should stop scheduling CSU for it's own pride. Because our program's are on different trajectories.

I'd rather play Citadel every year than Coastal.

Coastal has been a tougher team to play than Citadel anyway, so, I'd take them. Or for that matter Liberty.

Since 2005, CSU has a better winning % vs Citadel than they do vs Coastal or Liberty.

Actually I'm just going to keep trolling you for War and Peace responses that only you and the other 3 CSU fans read.

Congrats on your two wins all time. Until you put 2 in a row together you're just a flash in the pan.
