NO LOVE for Charleston Southern???? 5-0, with 4 road wins, one over The Citadel, one over App State? Im not saying they should be top 10 or 15. But come on, after G-W beat Wofford, one would think 2-2 Wofford would be out and 5-0 CSU could be in at 23rd or so. I mean Richmond is in at 2-3. C'mon man!
As of 1:00 today. CSU received 41 votes. You guys keep winning and you'll get there.
Cool. You're right, all we can do is try to keep winning. If we can keep it up and beat NGU and VMI, we'll be 7-0.

And with the BSC auto-bids, all that really matters is the BSC championship now anyway, so we shouldn't even worry about rankings. We are having a great start, but we still aren't good enough to overlook anyone, so hope the guys are focused on NGU.

But damn it seems the Big South just can't get respect haha!

Maybe I've just been around too long to know that half these teams are complete pretenders, and another quarter are partial pretenders. Maine should definitely be ahead of Nova and UNH and I'm telling you that Coastal, Fordham, Lehigh, UCA are not top 15 teams.

I have a serious question about the FCS polls.

UMass was ranked in the polls during their first transitional year. Georgia Southern is currently ranked and they're also in their first transitional year. Appy was ranked earlier as well.

However, ODU isn't being considered at all even though we're in the same boat. Can anyone explain that?

I understand it doesn't really matter since neither Appy, GSU, nor ODU is eligible for the playoffs, but it just seems really odd that ODU is being singled out here.

The CS Week 5 poll is up...looks great.

As I recall, there was no tangible discussion whether to include ODU...it simply came down to Trip's avatar having her breasts covered.

I believe it has to do with the number of schollies ODU has, and/or the fact they aren't playing an FCS schedule like App and GSU.

Coastal has been consistently placing in the Top 25 for a few years now. I get the criticism of the Big South but seriously, some of you need to get over yourselves and realize that some programs are excelling and will be taking the place of the usual winners. :coffee:

Shocked that McNeese didn't drop more after that debacle at Northern Iowa but in FCS it doesn't matter either way.

while I appreciate TSN's coverage of the FCS, I really wish they would utilize some basic formatting when it comes to their poll.

First off, put a date on there, so that people can tell which week the poll is from, and when it has been updated.

Secondly, add a line between the list of "others receiving votes" teams, and the names of voters. And/or bolding the "The Sports Network FCS Top 25 Voters". As it stands now, it's just a big mess.

such fixes would take all of ten seconds.

Coastal's lone playoff win was against a MEAC team... everybody beats MEAC teams in the playoffs. They are not a top 15 team.
