The Weber vs SUU series started back in 1984, and the 2 teams played every year except 1986 and 1996.

SUU didnt even win a game vs Weber till 1999, 15 years. Its hard to make a small school rivalry, when the whole state of Utah concentrates more on the BYU-Utah rivalry.

Weber State and SUU dont even get any attention from the local Salt Lake based Media. The only press Weber gets is from a Weber/Davis county based newspaper.

SUU is coming up fast. They have fielded a very good team the past 2 years and will be better this year.

Huh? Southern Utah went 0-11 two years ago. They definitely improved in '08, but they still weren't anything special.

Hey now in 07 even though we went 0-11 we werent as bad as our record showed. We nearly beat you guys in your house until some turnovers in the 4th quarter hurt us. We are getting better and there should be an suu and weber rivalry to get some more media attention in utah.

I want this to become a rivalry, but even if Weber and SUU played every year, the Utah Media still wouldnt talk about it, they wouldnt even care. Unless your BYU, Utah or Utah State, your invisible to the Salt Lake based media. Utah State gets more attention from the State of Utah than Weber, and Utah State hasnt had a winning season in 12 years. SUU never gets talked about on the Salt Lake based Media.

The only thing the SL based media said about Weber's game in the tournament vs Cal Poly was were it was and at what time it was.

When Weber's basketball team went 14-0 in conference, and won the tourny in 03, the salt lake based media only showed the score, no highlights or nothing.

So lets get this right. If weber losses to wyo and colorado state. They dont make playoffs next year. THEY wont beat both Cal Poly and Montana and they will come up short in one other Big Sky game. I see weber with for maybe even five losses. and missing the playoffs next year.

You have to give Weber more credit than that.

You cant say that, Weber lost at Hawaii and at Utah last year and they made the playoffs.

What makes CP so special? they lost thier coach, thier stud QB, and thier amazing reciever. not to mention thier defense was very poor the last time they played Weber. And just because the game is in Missoula, doesn't garantee a Grizzly win, it just makes it more likely.

Why? tell me why Weber will be so bad next year? When was the last time the BSC didnt put 2 teams in the tournament? If Weber loses at UM, they can still finish 2nd and make the tourny.
