Whatever the WAC was meeting about, they must be keeping pretty hush hush, since I havent even seen anything concerning thier meetings this week.

Or all they talked about was an exit strategy while at the meetings.

EDIT: The WAC did actually do some stuff:

I would be happy. To this point, to my knowledge, my alma mater McNeese is the only FCS school that was I-A and met the criteria for being I-A and made a considered decision to move to I-AA. That was back in the early 1980s when the NCAA changed some rules so that a lot of schools had to move to I-AA. In the Southland, McNeese and the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now Louisiana-Lafayette) met the requirements for staying in I-A. Southwestern Louisiana opted to stay in I-A and McNeese, which had been to three bowl games in the previous six years, opted to go to I-AA to stay with its conference.

I think it was the right decision and I still think it was the right decision. But now I'm seeing more and more sentiment among McNeese fans for moving to FBS. I don't guess something like Idaho moving back to I-AA/FCS would really change much in that regard. Objective data on the folly of moving from I-AA/FCS to I-A/FBS in terms of what is overwhelmingly most likely to happen has no impact. Stars are in their eyes. But it couldn't hurt.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
