Not to worry, I'm here to throw salt in your wound: Nebraska will be playing Idaho State instead. The story was in my local paper today. See also http://www.kansascity.com/2012/02/23/34 ... force.html.

You ****ing had them on the hook and you let them go.

Nebraska was scared of playing the mighty bison, so they thought ISU would be a better choice. THERE. I already said it so lakes won't have to.

There are still FCS options out there (I think... :( ).
The field of FCS teams gets slimmer every week and most are looking to fill there slot with a home game. I hope it doesn't happen but it will probably end up being a D-2 school that finishes the 2012 schedule.

There are 11 FCS teams with open dates on either 9/15 or 9/22, and 9 of those have either 5 home games already scheduled or their schedule is so imcomplete (I'm looking at YOU, SWAC) as to not know whether they'd take a home game or not

Southern Utah open 9/15 (only has 4 home games though)
Hampton open 9/22 (only has 4 home games scheduled)
North Carolina A&T 9/15 & 9/22 open (already has 5 home games scheduled)
Davidson open 9/15 (already has 6 home games scheduled)
Central Arkansas open 9/15 (already has 5 home games scheduled)
Alabama State open 9/15 and 9/22 (only has 7 games SCHEDULED)
Alcorn State open 9/15 (only has 7 games SCHEDULED)
Arkansas Pine Bluff open 9/15 and 9/22 (only has 6 games SCHEDULED)
Grambling State open 9/15 and 9/22 (only has 6 games SCHEDULED)
Prairie View A&M open 9/22 (only has 6 games SCHEDULED)

So, of this list you could probably eliminate SUU and Hampton (given they only have 4 home games and are probably looking for a home game) but the rest are legitimately available...IMHO your AD ought to approach UCA...playoff team last year, from a conference that produced the other NC game finalist; and you already have your patsy on the schedule (Robert Morris). :coffee: :coffee:

Impossible. NDSU doesn't play "non-counters". JBB said so.

That would be pretty stupid of a SWAC team since they could get (or should of gotten) a similar beatdown from an FBS team closer to home for a much bigger payday

Not quite accurate. Using your list, here's what is current:

Southern Utah open 9/15 (only has 4 home games though)
Hampton open 9/22 (only has 4 home games scheduled)
North Carolina A&T 9/15 & 9/22 open (already has 5 home games scheduled)
Central Arkansas open 9/15 (already has 5 home games scheduled)
Alabama State open 9/15 and 9/22 (has 10 games scheduled, and is rumored to have the 11th in the bag already)
Arkansas Pine Bluff open 9/15 and 9/22 (10 games scheduled, only 4 home)
Grambling State open 9/15 and 9/22 (10 games scheduled, 3 home plus the nuetral site)
Prairie View A&M open 9/22 (10 games scheduled, only 4 home)

Davidson, Alcorn are already complete, just not released yet. I will be filling in Davidson's schedule when I get home this evening.

In addition, you missed this one:
Jacksonville open 9/15 (only 4 home games)

So out of all those, best bets are UCA and NCAT.

Since the SWAC plays 2 OOC games and 9 conference games (I never knew this) cross Alcorn State and Alabama State off the list. (ASU plays Bethune-Cookman, and Tuskegee; Alcorn St has James Madison and Arkansas State)

Well I think it would be a good game (Sorensen vs. Bison Defense) and it would give us a 5th home game, dont think the Bison would be scared to come down to Cedar City...right? :thumb:

Well, I assume a tiny bit of knowledge on the readers part (like knowing SWAC teams only having 2 OOC games). I suppose I should have filled in all the unannounced conf games...my bad.

Like I said, my bad. I remember when the SWAC went to the 9 conf game mandate, alot of posters (maybe it was on AGS) were really upset about it.

Forgive me for thinking that FCS fans would know a little bit about an FCS conference.
