How many times before has a I-AA played a I-A in an NFL stadium?

Delaware used to do it all the time at The Vet, mostly in the 70s. Nova's been doing it a lot recently as well.

Granted, Temple is not exactly sexy, but I answered your question.
NAU played ASU a couple times while the Cardinals shard the stadium - but I guess technically not a Pro Stadium.

Tn State plays EVERYONE in an NFL stadium.

As far as the 70s' I-AA didn't exist till 78'.

Forgot about Nova-Temple as the Linc is their home field. Also forgot about USF, as Raymond James is their home field, and they've hosted I-AA.

I guess I should have asked How many times before has a I-AA played a I-A in a neutral field game in an NFL stadium?
JMU Football:
4 Years FBS: 40-11 (.784). Highest winning percentage & least losses of all of G5 2022-2025.

Sun Belt Champions: 2025

Or, how about...

How many times before has an in-state I-AA played a I-A in a neutral field game in an NFL stadium with a grass field?

I can't think of any. ;)

Hey, AOG, love your avatar. Permission to borrow it in the future. I realize you meant it as a dig, but I love it. Reminds me of the good old days.

Right-click and save as ... :thumb:

And btw, Hillbillies don't 'dig', in good nature we gently :poke: (and clearly Old FU is too smart to take the bait!)

I'm trying to switch it up every week or so. Next up: Georgia Southern State (Dept of Corrections)
