A while back Coach Farley, of UNI, was asked about the future of the FCS and moving FBS. He said that it's hard not to think about what could happen because of where things are right now. He didn't say he wanted FBS, as I don't think he does (nor does the majority of the UNI fanbase). However, he basically said that if a coach/AD isn't thinking about it they are going to be left by the wayside if anything does happen...if nothing happens, then nothing hurt by thinkingState Line Liquors wrote:
Like any other program in FCS, Delaware would probably accept an offer from the Big East and the ACC. I don't really see how that's news. I also don't see, at this time, how that's something that is even a remotely probable occurrence.

Losing top teams to FBS further weakens FCS. This is nothing for those remaining in FCS to clap about. The viability of FCS is on the bubble as it is.alvin kayak wrote:Okay, let me explain. The SOCON, Big Sky, and Missouri Valley are clapping their hands right now. I son't see anything that these small college conferences have to clap about.
1. There are things called conferences, which are collections of strategic business partners.
2. Conferences compete with one another.
3. When one conference loses its key members, other conferences rise in relation to it.
4. The CAA is losing its key members.
5. The SOCON, Big Sky, and Missouri valley are rising in relation to the CAA.

The viability of the FCS is on the bubble, so conferences should root for their competition to stay in tact? Good thing you aren't my conference's commissioner. The CAA wouldn't even get a gift basket from me.Losing top teams to FBS further weakens FCS. This is nothing for those remaining in FCS to clap about. The viability of FCS is on the bubble as it is.
