Im just saying this: its great to have the MVFC and BSC going toe to toe. Next week will be a great battle. I can tell you right now things are a little out of contrl here right nowl Its going to take a few hours to get this thing back under control.

I havent had a chance to take a close look at the Eagles. That will come in the quantitative portion of the thread. Right now its a huge wave.

We just shut down the #1 all-purpose FCS runner in the second half, holding him to something like 5 yards. SEMO runs the ball like 80% of the time, and we held their offense to 26 yards in the second half. :coffee:

EWU's front seven is better than MSU's. As I said before, if NDSU needs to pass they'll lose.

Congrats for the impressive victory, BF.

Good luck trying to contain Taiwan Jones.
They did as well as anyone against Deji Karim last year (127 yds., 1 TD), and their defense is better this year.

Bison win with the same formula I gave them last week:

Score first

defense provides a couple of short fields

win special teams

Regardless of the outcome, the bison are hands down the most improved team of the season.

How could EWU front seven be any worse than giving up 370 yards rushing to a team with four conference losses? They didn't post anywhere near those numbers in conference play. :ohno: Big Sky is way down this year.

There is a lot of activity around the Fabulous Fargo Dome. Equipment trucks are unloading. Curious fans are milling about. Traffic is heavy on University Ave. The campus has the calm you only get after a big storm. Snow is piled high, the BISON are in seclusion, resting in comfort and peace after bring glory to the "Old AC". The Great BISON Football tradition has enveloped the program, nurturing the spirit of victory, the cohesiveness of an embattled team that is now emerging as one of the best in the country. It was a big win!!

As the day dawned cold and clear the Upper Midwest was quiet. That "Old BISON Feeling" was back. The NDSU Football Conglomerate has sequestered itself in its' plush, prestigious lair deep under the stands at the Fabulous Fargo Dome. It was a big win, but thats all it was, not even a trophy. Today is the day of rest. The day the victory is savored. The day to unwind because its game week again for the Mighty BISON.

The Lights at Dacotah Field are on. They have been on since the final score rolled through every town and village in the Dakotas and Montana. They will burn throughout the day. At midnight they will be turned off. Its a day of quiet celebration but everyone here understands it isnt over yet. There are 3 games to play, the next is against the Eastern Warshington Eagles.

Alright EWU, with MSU out of the picture I'm rootin' Eagles for the chipper now

Anyhow, NDSU fans you cannot compare EWU and MSU this year. When they played they were both plagued by *key injuries. I think if they were to have met this next weekend in Bozo, EWU would have gotten their payback BIG TIME.

This game should be interesting defensively for NDSU. EWU is not one dimensional, which makes them very dangerous in all facets of the game. Your D will take a step forward to TRY and stop TJ, and then you will find yourselves looking down field after a 40yd completion.

The only real question I have for this game is EWU's defense? Maybe the Griz can loan them a few players on D :thumb:

Meanwhile deep inside the bowels of the Phase at the Eagle Football forward listening post, intelligence was already being gathered late into night. While the snow covered hills of the Northern Palouse lay glistening under a razor-sharp, star studded sky, EW6 was was breaking down game film while casting a watchful eye eastward accross the Selway Bitteroot - a mountain range that Haliaeetus leucocephalus frequently soars over but also left the The Corps of Discovery emaciated and verily near starvation and that bison bison bison found too formidable to cross.

This morning, the multitudes of Eagle faithful, bellies pleasantly full from last night's Belly Buster induced hangover avoidance are placidly polishing their grills, deep fryers, and other tailgating accoutrements in anticipation of this weeks impending menu:

From as near as Waukon and as far away as the upper Okanogan Valley, Convocations are already amassing throughout the great Inland Empire. The Incredible Inferno at Righteous Roos Field looks resplendent in it's accessory of snow berms and the radiant stadium lights will provide a signal beacon to be seen by all raptors on the hunt.
