My reply isn't a bullying tactic at all. I've never said it wasn't possible for EWU to lose to ISU, I'm saying it's extremely unlikely, whereas it appears you actually believe it's not only plausible, but likely... which is flat out insane. The Montana fans are merely praying for it to happen in conjunction with a win over MSU to maintain a share of the BSC title. Hence the reason for my wager... if any of you were that confident that ISU will win, you'd make a small bet with me. I'll pay up if EWU loses, but I know they won't. I've heard remarks from some of our players, and none of them are looking past ISU. All season long we've taken each week one game at a time. This team is focused, and understands the implications of winning and losing against ISU. Lastly, just because ISU has won their last game a couple years in a row, doesn't mean they're likely to do it again this year. They played PSU and UNC... not a top-5 team. Besides, nobody's said ISU over EWU is a done deal. We're only mentioning that ISU has a recent habit of winning the last game of the season, so the possibility has to be at least considered.
As everyone knows, a loss or even a poor win over a crap team like ISU would cost EWU big time. Again, there's no guarantee that such will happen, but all heck will break loose if it does.
Tell ya what SH, let's lower the stakes. EWU wins, you change your avatar to whatever I choose throughout the playoffs until after the FCS Championship game. If ISU wins, I'll change my avatar to whatever you choose.
