Your approaching the 2007 SoCon.

Wofford..............5-2.....9–4
Appalachian State...5–2.....13–2
Georgia Southern...4–3......7–4
Elon...................4–3.....7–4
The Citadel..........4–3......7–4
Furman...............4–3.....6–5
Chattanooga.........2–5.....2–9
Western Carolina....0–7.....1–10

GSU beat Wofford and ASU (both on the road) but lost at home to UTC and Furman. If GSU makes a last-second FG to bear Furman, they get the autobid.

I've never seen such an impressive display of offensive prowess as I did that year. Wofford's wishbone was lethal, GSU had Jayson Foster who could do anything, App had Edwards and his all-star cast, Elon had Riddle and Hudgins, The Citadel had Andre Johnson, Furman had Felton, Gray and company who could score with everyone and UTC and WCU had some offensive outbursts as well.

Too bad we don't have a Western Carolina for everyone to beat up on. I don't even know if anyone will have less than 3 wins in the conference.

Don't be a douche bag. Pull your head out of your ass for once here and don't try and make NDSU the cream of the crop.... :coffee:

I thought NDSU would be running rough-shod over the FCS on their way to being FBS Champs???? What happened? Did you get your tampons stuck up your vagina's and forgot how to remove them?

The ending that I have seen and presented above is not a guarantee and should not be taken as one. It is only one possible outcome in a universe of many possible outcomes.

When you have a football team as close to success as The NDSU BISON, hopes run high and the search for the missing ingrediant is now on. The idea that NDSU could finish atop this conference is not a foreign one to those having a broader knowledge of football and dont simply have tunnel vision to a certain program or conference. I am a student of the game and make it a point to view the sport with an open mind.

I understand you struggle with written communication and your frustration pulls you down to the above level, Im not writing you off. Im encouraging you to get it off your chest. Spout out and ramble to your hearts content, its good for you. Once you calm down you feel better.

This season isnt over. When it is we can look back and discuss it. Right now NDSU has a fortunate schedule to finish strong. NDSU is going to dominate this league and this division but right now the fight is on. We are putting our hopes in the next two weeks of practice.

We are going to work on tackling and blocking. Naturally we will be drilling on all the basics but our emphasis will be there. This is a game of fundamentals, good diet, sportsmanship, good moral and spiritual foundation and team work. These are things on the platter of the NDSU BISON right now.

So 5 teams end 5-3 and four others at 4-4, for a combined record of 41-31 within the conference. Sounds like Lake Wobegon, where all the children are above average.

First off...I don't own a team, let-alone run one. I root for the Griz. I would hope they would work on some special teams and a little tackling and pass catching.

I would also hope they would work on the turnover thing.

As for "your team".

1) I would hope that NDSU would work on their dick sucking method. A little less tooth would be nice.
2) Perhaps eating a little less fried food would also be a positive as your cheer leaders seem to be a little large as well as a little greasy and shiny.
3) Perhaps slow the "team speed" down a little. It seems that your team is so fast that they are over pursuing the opposition and allowing them to score more than NDSU.

These seem to be the top 3 problems I see. Hope they help you out. :thumb:

I will say this, although this league may only get 2 playoff bids if we are lucky this year, everyone from top to bottom could very easily win the conference this year. This is the most balanced I have ever seen a college football conference this deep into the season. Underdogs seem to be winning at a higher percentage in conference games than the favorites!

I think the point is not statistical accuracy, we are at 30,000 feet here. We want the Big Picture here in BISON CITY. Thats an accurate portrayal of a promising conference outcome, but I do agree with you. It is not sutitable for tactical development.

Point is made. The NDSU BISON are in the race and can still win it. I can also say with confidence, The NDSU BISON have every intention of doing that.

It will be accomplished with productive and focused practice over the next two weeks. The fundamentals will be stressed with particular attention paid to those that need to be perfected. Problems, challenges, play-books, history and tradition. Correctly resolved, these are the things that support the culture of a vital football team. They are inherent in the NDSU BISON tradition. Present in The Program at all times. These are the things that have helped elevate us in our wins over powerful competition, most recently, Montana, Gophers, GSU, Central Michigan, SIU, Ball State, UND, SDSU, USD and Kansas. The BISON have also "Knocked the Stuffing Out Of" Iowa State (they recovered a la UNI) and Wyoming (folded a la Kansas and Minnesota).

Those are significant wins and a testament to the quality of the practice time before each game.

Those results also testify to a sound game plan.

I agree, hence the feeling things are changing. Lots of MVFC teams can put up a scenario like I did for NDSU. Its wide open and its time for change you can believe in!!

Ever heard of a donkey show? Thats what this would be like. At first your like, "Sweet, I get to see a donkey fuck a chick!" but in the end its just a donkey fucking a chick, which sucks. Thats what it will be like if NDSU ever wins the conference, especially in this fashion. Yay! We finally did it, as horrid as it looked, we did it!

Are you ok Thumper? I can tell your post is angry but it is also in questionable taste. Maybe you are tired? That will often bring on frustration. Possibly there has been some confusion on the intent of my msg? My scenario is slanted toward an NDSU bias. Because of that SDSU has received little or no consideration with regard toward a succesful outcome for them.

I should say though my dear man, I must vigorously disagree with your conclusion. A "Win-Out" scenario for NDSU would be a brilliant finish to the loop contests this year and would certainly make NDSU a deserving champion, worthy of the playoff bid, worthy of the home playoff games and huge crowds and worthy of the final outcome a National Championship.

At this point in time SDSU is clinging to what might prove to be simply a "lucky" win. After all, the SIU fans have assured everyone they were suffering with a rash of injuries and were unable to field their most competitive team. NDSU, on the other hand, is carrying the banner for the entire MVFC with what many thought was a stunning upset win over Big 12 power Kansas Jayhawks. Because of that disparity in accomplishment I feel the "Win-Out" scenario for NDSU is justified and supported by evidence. However, no matter what the outcome, SDSUs position as a member of the Big Dakota 3 is not in jeopardy.

Towson could have that record too if they played the worst NAIA in the nation, who ISUB lost too last season, and a mediocre D2 team.

Fair enough. Two conference wins though, when's the last time that happened?
