Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
My head says:
SIU
Ill State
Misery State
YSU
WIU
Here's hoping I am wrong about Ill State and WIU but down deep I think they will both win.

Northern Iowa-pays the Salukis back
Indiana State-I don't know if riding victory over Quincy is momentum, but WTF!
Missouri State-I've liked the bears all preseason and all season
Youngstown State- Damn those guins might be for real.
South Dakota State- The freefall stops here.

Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
• Northern Iowa (2-0, 2-2) at Southern Illinois (1-1, 2-3). The two powers over the last decade usually don’t combine for five total losses for an entire season. However, both teams lost a ton of seniors from last season and are plugging young guys into key roles. Really don’t have a great read for this one so I’ll go with the home team.
Southern Illinois 23, Northern Iowa 20
• Illinois State (2-1, 3-2) at Indiana State (0-1, 2-2). They’re taking baby steps at Indiana State, with two wins at this date the most since 2002. And the Sycamores are going to upset somebody in league play. But Illinois State has too much firepower.
Illinois State 45, Indiana State 21.
• North Dakota State (0-2, 3-2) at Youngstown State (1-1, 3-2). North Dakota State remains in the top 25, apparently for its week one victory over Kansas. Today, the Bison play for survival in the league race against a Youngstown team likely angry from a second-half meltdown at Missouri State.
Youngstown State 30, North Dakota State 20.
• Western Illinois (2-0, 4-1) at South Dakota State (0-2, 0-4). The Jackrabbits have fallen from playoff team to off the map while Western Illinois has risen from the league basement to contender. Go figure. I keep wondering if the Leathernecks are for real.
South Dakota State 28, Western Illinois 27
• Missouri State (2-2) at Murray State (1-4). This game appears much tougher for the Bears than it did a few weeks ago. Murray State, under new coach Chris Hatcher, is getting better as evidenced by a close loss at No. 3 Jacksonville State. The Racers have some good offensive weapons, but might be a bit suspect on defense.
Missouri State 45, Murray State 35.

Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen

Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
fucking Ill st gives up 59 and loses to Ind St, and MSU gives up fucking 72 points in regulation and loses to Murray? WTF, that is pathetic.
UNI FIGHT
Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
As I said, TERRY ALLEN MUST GO.
Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
I thought this was the year that MSU was going to win the conference. It sounded like that from the posters here at least. Every time someone said something about MSU being a 6 win team, or so, you fan base got all upity about it

ISU MSU next week should be a solid game....
Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
I don't think that will be the case any more.clenz wrote:I thought this was the year that MSU was going to win the conference. It sounded like that from the posters here at least. Every time someone said something about MSU being a 6 win team, or so, you fan base got all upity about it
Ever since TA took over, he said "Year 5 is THE year."
Well if this is THE year, then Terry is in over his head and we need some new blood. You can't give up effing 72 freaking points to a freaking 1-4 O V C school any time, let alone in YOUR YEAR.

SDSU beat WIU 33-29.
So the MVFC is still wide-open after 6 weeks. Anyone can still win it.

Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
calling it an "upset" is a bit of a stretch.ISUSycamores23 wrote:UNI got upset today by SIU.
Sure, maybe UNI was a few spots higher in the polls, but when it comes to the SIU/UNI series, I pretty much consider the home team to be favored (but not by a very big margin most years).
Panthers really should have won this one though, but AGAIN pissed it away with turnovers and poor playcalling.

Indiana State hosts Missouri State next week. ISU really threw the ball well against Illinois State.

Looks like SIU is turning things around. Looks like an upset as of this week, but may not look that way by season's end.ISUSycamores23 wrote:UNI got upset today by SIU.
