Add to the watch list...
Howard = 0-3 to start the season and a 10 game losing streak dating back to last year
North Carolina A&T = 0-3 to start the season and a 6 game losing streak
Nicholls State = 0-3, sure two losses to I-A's but also lost to South Alabama in their first season
Savannah State = 0-3 with a 41-10 loss to DII Fort Valley State
Howard = 0-3 to start the season and a 10 game losing streak dating back to last year
North Carolina A&T = 0-3 to start the season and a 6 game losing streak
Nicholls State = 0-3, sure two losses to I-A's but also lost to South Alabama in their first season

Savannah State has got to be on there. They haven't won a DI game since September 13, 2008 and the team they beat then isn't even DI anymore.89Hen wrote:Add to the watch list...

As I said, no disrespect meant, but that's a game that should have been closer. Especially the whole being down to Elizabeth City State late in the first half thing, and the VERY NARROW win over Murray State (not a powerhouse), and the 5 game losing streak to end last season, including a loss to North Dakota. I don't care how close all 5 losses were, you lost, and one of them was to UND. There's no reason to call UCA a 30 pt. favorite against EIU based on the facts listed above.UCABEAR wrote:9 Eastern Illinois Panthers
In the offseason, EIU dismissed 3 players for rules violations. Someone forgot to tell the team that they couldn't dismiss the first 3 games of the season, as well. Sure, no one could have expected the Panthers to stay within 30 of Iowa, but to not stay within 30 of the UCA Bears is another story. No disrespect to UCA, but that's a game that should be closer. Add on the loss to UT-Martin, a team they beat by 5 touchdowns last year, and it just gets worse. If they keep it up, the OVC will all be wearing Sex Panther by the end of the season... “Yep, it's made with bits of real panther, so you know it's good... 60% of the time it works, every time.”
You obviously know very little about a team that has been in the top 20 nearly weekly since they transitioned from division II.Even on a bad year, like last year, the average loss was only 3 points and those games were winnable.
Back again in the top 25, 3-0, coach is playing numerous freshman, and averaging 35 points per game and you still have this opinion of the Bears. Hey, we'll fly under the radar again this year, no problem.
Plus it was against the OVC. Seriously. The SLC may not be an amazing conference, but it's not the OVC.
UCA is hardly a powerhouse, they've proven very little the past couple years. I would have included them in the bottom 10 but they're 3-0.

Honestly, if I didn't do my stupid FBS teams on the list, Sav. St. would have been on there. They'll be there next week, don't you worry.danefan wrote:Savannah State has got to be on there. I'm very aware of your early success, but that hasn't followed you 'til now, there have been bumps in the road.
Don't waste the time defending yourself TTL. These are supposed to be funny, which it was. It doesn't have to make any sense.

Have you seen the trailer for 'Buried'? That's the kind of feeling I get....danefan wrote:That's just the coffee kicking in.bandl wrote:

I suppose that's true. Didn't want Mr. Bear's head to get too big tho off a win over Murray State.danefan wrote:ToTheLeft wrote:

Speaking of this, browse their football page on cfbdatawarehouse.com. Apparently ISUB hasn't fielded a team since 1925. I knew they were bad, but to not even be considered a team the last 80 years or so tells you have bad they've been.skinny_uncle wrote:SEMO is 2-1.Mvemjsunpx wrote:What, no Southern Illinois? They lost to SEMO. That's like losing to Indiana State.
I don't remember the last time Indy State was 2-1.

Right now, the threat is down. But you never know what will happen.
