I saw one excessive celebration penalty called against a UTC receiver against ASU that was completely bogus as was the one referenced earlier against receiver Washington of ASU. Sometimes I think the officials just want to be noticed and draw attention to themselves. Both calls were really poor judgement and fortunately had no bearing on the outcome. Dunking over the crossbar and doing flips into the endzone (both of which I've unfortunately witnessed at the Rock) are excessive...a little jumping around and chest bumping is not.
