I'll post what I posted over on the Zone:

If thats true, that would replace the 9/24 @ W&M, which would get shifted to another weekend, and one of the other 4 CAA home games would come off. Certainly wouldn't be UR, as I imagine all the VA schools will play each other. Probably not Nova. Hopefully they wouldn't make JMU miss URI 2 years in a row. So most likely candidate to come off would be Maine. I wouldn't be surprised to see the @ W&M game stuck there, as it would be odd to have 3 straight home CAA games anyway.

I wonder if there is a chance the 1st game at the new stadium could be UD? If UD is @ JMU on 9/24, then that will either be the 1st or 2nd home game.
9/3 @ UNC
9/10 @ Liberty, home OOC, or bye
9/17 @ Liberty, home OOC, or bye
9/24 home UD

Having the home opener 9/24 would give more time to get everything ready anyway, and it would be much better to open against UD in the 1st game in the new crown jewel of I-AA than VMI or CCSU.

Well, you know, the CAA does like to use the flagship football program in the CAA to dress things up - UD played in the innaguaral CAA football game in '07 against W&M. Plus, maybe they want to make sure your new stadium is filled up for the opening game there - wouldn't want empty seats for a CCSU game.

Flagship???? What??? OK, you said "football program". I'll give you that one......for now. Enjoy the last few years of that title.

Eh, we'll see. Only in year two of having a football program - I certainly think ODU will be very good going forward, but it still needs to play out.
