That's one way of looking at it. I choose to believe that, being in Iowa after all, there was so much awesome shit in that museum that a mere battle flag captured in the Civil War was plum boring and had to be relegated to back room storage..

So are you saying that over 150 yrs. ago someone in Charleston had the wherewithal to copy the flag from the Ottoman Empire? I mean it's easy to do that kind of thing now with Google and all but it would seem to have been a lot tougher to do back then and may lend itself more to parallel thinking than copying.

The state of Iowa needs to give the flag to The Citadel and the city of Charleston where it belongs.
