Re: COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
I don't see another year this fall of 4 or more CAA teams in the playoffs. I've been looking at the CAA schedules & they're brutal this year. You take two of the lower-half teams in N'Eastern & Hofstra out and suddenly other than Towson & URI there's not any weeks off in the league. Unless there are going to be a number of 7-4 teams in the field of 20, which there could be, some of the other leagues may get an extra team in this year.

Shocking that a CAA fan only wants to look at the last two years.
Too much peyote on the Mexico trip Jelly?
App is the only team to defeat a CAA in Nooga since 2002.

If those same two rosters had played 9 more times that season, I'd go with Michigan 9 times. No disrespect to the Mountaineers intended

In 10 years when the CAA has 10 more titles from 6 different teams, you'll still be left with your memories.

God CAA fans are annoying. That's not going to happen... I'd be willing to bet a CAA team doesn't even win it next year (Nova is the only school with a shot, imo)... every year for the next 10? What a load of bullshit.89Hen wrote: In 10 years when the CAA has 10 more titles from 6 different teams, you'll still be left with your memories.
And this kind of crap only seems to be coming from the CAA fans of programs that have been sucking hard the last couple of years. Delaware is one of those teams.

My team is down? Semifinals last year? I guess since we aren't winning the championship every year now we're "down."89Hen wrote: I understand your frustration Jelly. If I knew that when my team was down, the whole conference was down, I'd be bitter too.
4-8 - No playoffs
6-5 - No playoffs
YOUR team is down so you are living of the laurels of your conference. No big deal, it's just obnoxious.

Started by someone that is a fan of "CAA"
Likely an alum of a CAA school that is bad at football so he carries the CAA mantle.
You'll be there with him in a few years if Delaware keeps up their suckitude.

Re: COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
I'll be in the north endzone cheering on my Hens for many years to come. Delaware's "suckitude" is only in the CAA. If they played in the powderpuff league that is the SoCon, they would have made the playoffs last year. App beat UR on a last second play, UD lost to UR on a last second blocked FG. Not really much difference between App and UD. Thank God for the MEAC for offering up some wins for you.Skjellyfetti wrote:You'll be there with him in a few years if Delaware keeps up their suckitude.

Re: COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
The extra two at large spots will get the CAA to 4. But we'll need help from the rest of FCS to put in 5 from a 10 member conference. It's possible. The other major conferences don't appear to be on upward trends. Maybe the Big Sky, but their near exit in the first round took a lot of shine off and it ended up being all Montana again. The FBS wins, national championships and better TV package are going to maintain the CAA's momentum. The other conferences need another powerhouse to step forward to at least take the championships away.bluehenbillk wrote:I don't see another year this fall of 4 or more CAA teams in the playoffs. Yeah, not much of a difference... apart from the whole winning/losing thing. Glad to see that Delaware has dropped far enough to be bragging about moral victories!! Pathetic, really, to be coming from a once proud program.89Hen wrote:App beat UR on a last second play, UD lost to UR on a last second blocked FG. Not really much difference between App and UD.

Exactly. There were other CAA teams that were that good and several more that were on their heels. Who else in the SoGone was anywhere close to App? Maybe Elon. Short list.Skjellyfetti wrote:UR were CAA cochamps right?![]()

There's no doubt that the SoCon is down... mainly because Furman and Georgia Southern are down. And teams like Wofford that had briefly taken their place were down last year as well.89Hen wrote: Exactly. There were other CAA teams that were that good and several more that were on their heels. Glad you've finally come around. Now just say it so we can move on... The CAA is more awesome than a town in Iowa with Chuck Norris as their mayor and Ditka as their high school football coach.Skjellyfetti wrote:There's no doubt that the SoCon is down... mainly because Furman and Georgia Southern are down. Re: COLONIAL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION
EPJr is a VCU fan. I'm sure you guys already realize this, but CAA fans are a very dysfunctional family...it's just the way it is. It's been like that in basketball since I've been an ODU fan, and I can tell it's like this in football too.Skjellyfetti wrote: Started by someone that is a fan of "CAA"

89hen, I have a question. Is the "CAA" chant something done in football too?
