This guy had committed to UR:
http://rivals.yahoo.com/richmond/footba ... niel-97783

Not anymore!
"Wise linebacker Anthony McDaniel has committed to James Madison. McDaniel originally committed to Richmond, but pulled that when Richmond coach Mike London left to take the coaching job at Virginia. McDaniel had been considering ODU as well."
http://hamptonroads.com/2010/01/its-jan ... -plentiful

He's the 4th recruit to committ to JMU since visiting over the last weekend.

Albany picked up the 2008 NJ Player of the Year - Dillon Romain (Don Bosco Prep and Blair Academy)

Romain choose Albany over offers from Montana, Portland State, Missouri State, Monmouth, and Wagner and a walk-on at Rutgers. The article also says Tulane was also soon to offer him.

He visited Coastal last year along with a couple other FCS schools but thought he could improve his FBS chances with a year at prep school.

From what I've seen of him, he is a beast. I wish we could have gotten him here. Another guy that's not getting any offers is Marc Mauro from Locust Valley HS in LV NY. His only offer was Hofstra. He runs a 4.37 40yd.

Mauro is an interesting case as well. I think he got hurt by the fact that SBU is so deep at RB right now. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at SBU or Albany though as a DB.

Tampa Catholic's McCloud gives commit to Furman

Furman, one of the top programs in Division I-AA was just one of the schools recruiting McCloud, who ran for 1,767 yards and 16 touchdowns this past season (the second highest total in the bay area) while helping Tampa Catholic to the Class 2B state title game. McCloud also received offers from Harvard, Navy and Towson.

Really like the way Coach Ash is building the program with high school kids. This will be the first time in a long time I can remember that we don't have any mid year J.C. recruits or drop downs.

WOW! That is the first video of Sloan that I have seen. Looks pretty good. We need a running game that can just take over. Especially if we happen to be starting a redshirt freshman QB next year.

I believe that. I guess they're kinda tightlipped about recruiting

Also, welcome elon77. It's good to have another Elon poster on here too.

Towson just got a verbal commit from a 3 star WR from Tampa, FLA. This would be our second player from Florida. I like where Ambrose is focusing his recruiting! And I like seeing 3 FBS schools and Delaware has offered to him also. Interesting. :thumb:
