So how good is Towson RB West?

so good, that he failed to make the final 3 candidates for the Walter Peyton Award:

http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnf ... /index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

must have been the 52 yards rushing on 19 carries in Towson's last game of the season against an unranked, non playoff 3-8 team..

oh well...

First of all it's Walter Payton. Second of all, getting sixth in the FCS in the Payton award as a freshman doesn't make someone a poor player. He finished higher than the almighty QB that the_fan has claimed in Kevin Decker. Let's see, West finished two spots ahead of Decker in the final ballot. Kevin Decker accounted for 5 TD's against Lehigh. That means West will get at least 7 TD's, because according to thefan, the lower you are on the payton totem pole, the worse you are at life. If Decker finished lower than West and flat out dominated Lehigh, that means West is going to make Lehigh look like a pop warner team.

I don't see Spadola on that list. Clearly means he is not only overrated, but outright terrible. Derp.

Sixth place as a Freshman is amazing. How many Freshmen have even been nominated for the Payton award? I think we may be seeing the start of a legendary running back. One of those running backs you see once in a generation and sets records no one else touches (if healthy). I hope he rushes for 180 and three touchdowns to quiet you. The top three in the Payton are deserved finalists and are better players than West because of their experience including Lum (who has a good chance to get the award).

How ironic that you would say that.

Aren't you the guy that told me you knew my exact location and the exact location of my family? Or the one that said you were going to find me in person and make sure I deleted my AGS account? If you knew all that, why do you have to serve AGS? What's the difference between those empty threats and these? Is it the fact that anything on the internet isn't legitimate unless there is a binding contract legally signed and agreed upon by both parties? Or is it the fact that Sandusky passed on you one too many times for you to forgive the rest of the world?

This will be my last comment on the message boards regarding the lawsuit that has been filed against you. From now on the only words from me that you will read on this topic will be done in court documents.

good luck there

now

lets continue with the football talk

Lehigh over Towson by at least two TD's as the Lehigh defense limits West to less than 120 yards rushing and Lehigh's Lum passes for over 400 yards on the weak Towson pass defense.

For the other posters - keep those pictures of the hot babes coming...
It's obvious by your posts that your message board problems are of your own doing. You should sue yourself, and place yourself under a gag order whiile the suit plays out.

Yea... this could be a game turner. Missed extra points, 4 yard punts, etc. It's definately a Lehigh vulernability. So the answer to the question is "not so good". The only positive is that they've had some decent returns on kickoffs and punts including, IIRC, a couple of scores. But I wouldn't want to depend on special teams Saturday. Ironically, and not sure what the impact would be, but if the game goes the way I think it might there will be far more kickoffs than punts!

Potentially a lot of firepower in this matchup, but I think it's more likely that the Mountain Hawks contain Terrance West than that the Tigers contain the Lehigh passing attack. Towson's pass defense & sack numbers are just too mediocre for me to have a lot of faith in them here. Lehigh also has more playoff experience.

Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:

      • Quarterbacks -- Lehigh

        Running Backs - Towson

        Receivers/TEs - Lehigh

        Offensive Line - (push)

        Defensive Line - (push)

        Linebackers --- Lehigh

        Secondary ---- Lehigh

        Kicking ------ Towson

        Punting ------ Towson

        Return Teams - Towson

        Kickoffs ------ Lehigh

          • Lehigh 37-31 Towson

OK, I've been away for a few days so forgive me, trying to catch up:

Is The Fan the father of the girl that Andy was using as his avatar earlier this season, that supposedly was Razor's girlfriend, but had just posed in that picture for money and to get her boob job fixed? :kisswink:

And now he's suing Andy? :ohno:

I think one key matchup that's only been mentioned generically in the form of "passing game" is detail on how Towson defends Spadola, Drwal and not one but two sure handed tight ends? As I've said before I think the Towson DC has probably watched more film than Siskel and Ebert this week and may still be scratching his head (If I were the Lehigh OC I'd be seriously looking at a gameplan with some hurry up offense from the getgo to get Towson off balance and screw up personnel changes). Not so much a dig on Towson but a significant matchup problem. Spadola is a pototypical WR size-wise and deceivingly fast (rumored to be a sub 4.4). Just too big and fast for their linebackers to stick with on those slants he runs so well and at 25+, a single corner, sooner or later is going to be toast. Even doubling him, Lum will get a now healthy Drwal in man coverage or an outlet to one of his TEs on a LB. I suspect the Towson safety will have a busy day as well. Throw in some play action and I think basically it's a matter of Towson pretty much needing to guess correctly just about every play. Tough deal. Conversely, I don't think the Lehigh defense is facing as daunting a task or as much risk of the "big play". All that said, if the Lehigh run defense is NOT what the stats indicate, this ain't going to be a matter of who scores last so much as who is the first one NOT to score!

You can easily pass all day against Townsend, even if you had a true freshman QB.

It's an AGS thing that he's brought over here when he got banned there - someone bet him $100K in internet money that he didn't really attend Princeton and Stanford as he's claimed and he went all Opie in his responses (law suits/subpoenas, but no cops/throwing fists)...

So he is going to waste time and money over stupid banter on an internet message board. Isn't there a law against frivilous lawsuits?
