Did you drive to the game in Nooga from App? That is all I read about is how App fans would drive down the day of the game to watch.

Which is why Frisco is a shitty location. What's the closest quality FCS program to Frisco? McNeese. Noone will ever be driving to this game in large numbers. It will never have high attendance. It will always look like shit on tv.

Hens left a lot of points on the field so far. EWU's not gonna roll over, but I have a hard time seeing them score more than 21 in the 2nd half. If we can score another TD and hold onto the ball, I think UD will pull it out. If UD stays true to form, they'll start to wear down EWU's D-line with the running game, but EWU has started to stiffen up (until that last drive when they were in prevent and UD was just running the clock out). The nicks to Pierce and Hayes so far have me concerned.

Barring a Southland team (or maybe the Grizz, being generous) in the finals, do you anticipate the attendance ever being better than this? Attendance from the locals (a lot of tickets were bought by local businesses) will likely drop off in future years. The best thing about Frisco is that it will probably always be a relatively neutral field, unlike Nooga in 07 or the Marshall Invitational back in the day.

Neither team was in decent driving distance of Chattanooga last year... and attendance was about the same as this year. Everyone bitched about the shitty attendance last year. But, this year's attendance is a "success", "crowd looks great on tv", etc. The bar has just been fucking lowered a whole lot. It's pathetic.

The point is, and if you could take your head out of your ass and look at it objectively for a second, east coast fans are bitching because Frisco is too far from the 'hotbed' of the FCS world. Yet, when in Chatty, those same fans did not go to this game unless their team was in it. The game, this year, is in an area where there are very few FCS teams. It's Texas, it's UT country, It's BIG XII land, it's FCS sucks, is DII and not worthy land and there are as many (or more) fans at this game than there was at Chatty last year, in its first game.

I know how much all of you haters wanted this to fail miserably, but it hasn't.
Chatty averaged 17K/yr in 13 years, and it never had to go up against one of the Big Boy Bowls. From that perspective alone, yes....they done good.

If they sold one ticket then the game was a financial success (what the NCAA cares about) and that's what matters in this deal. Since they sold a shit load more than that it's a pretty big success I guess. It looks the same as the games in Chatty always have excepting one year.
