CM,
How is that possible if the NCAA continues to have the west teams play each other in the first round? The Griz - Wofford & Poly - Weber matchups were more fitting for a semi-final rather than a first round game. Despite the Griz loss I was more excited to be playing a SoCon team than a Great West or SLC because that is all we fans have seen in OOC on 1st round playoff games for a long time.

Absolutely agree. Although I wouldn't mind them sending one of those cupcakes out west occasionally.

.880 > .571 compared to .662 > .594?
I'm no math major but I think the delta is about 450% different.
Thanks ONCE AGAIN for arguing my side.
As for the last statement, keep thinking about it and it may come to you why it's more than conjecture.
You keep changing the argument so fast I can't keep up. Now it's "deltas".
And no one has yet to nut up and answer the question that all Griz fans want to know the answer to....

Honestly, and I wish I could get someone to nut up and answer this question: What's it like being a fan of a team in which you have to glom onto OTHER team's success because yours sucks 3 out of every 5 years?
Holy crap, this is almost making me feel bad beating up on you so bad today.
In 1995 and 2001 the Griz were 0.929 in conference. Not quite the 0.700 UMass was.
Your question... it's good. When the Hens are out of it, I know there are other CAA teams I can pull for. It would be nice to have an auto to ourselves like Montana, but hey, it's more satisfying when you can make it through the CAA alive.

Jesus. You sound like Yankmee fans for the past 9 years..."hey, we're just happy to make the playoffs".

Huh? Your point was pretty much invalid. The Hens have a similar win percentage in the playoffs as the regular season. .068 is not much of a difference. However, the Griz's .309... well that's even more than UNC, ISU and SacSt's (1/3 of your conference) win percentage in the Big Sky last year if you add them all together.

I am going to e-mail the Griz AD and push for Montana to hire KC. That way we can really see how the Big Sky is. If Montana can still win with him as coach (they have done it with 4 different now) then I will 100% concede your point.....

Yes, but will the UD admin do anything about it? Aren't you going to do a renovation/expansion to the Tub? If so wouldn't they want a successful program at the time they are spending a lot of money to redo the field?

putter wrote:My problem Col, is that the NCAA is a POS and doesn't run its one and only football championship like it should. It should seed 16 teams and let it run. If I remember correctly the NCAA takes 80% of playoff ticket revenue - in addition to the guarantees and the schools need to charge no less that the cheapest ticket price during the season. If Montana and App sell out just one game then the NCAA garners, lets see (Montana sells 25k @ $26 = $650k x 80% = $520k) and I am sure the amount would be similar for an App home game. The east coast games also have a home guarantee so tell me where all this money goes. Lets say it costs the NCAA $200k to send Montana east or someone west, the take from a Montana game alone covers two trips.....may not be ECB but it is a crappy argument to keep regionalization.
Please note...I have never defended the NCAA...I don't disagree that regionalization sucks...but it is...
To get it changed means changing the way the playoffs are financed...or breaking away from the NCAA, and then we just become the BCS-lite...
