I take it that GATW ain't embarrassed that his boys lost to a team that crapped out the rest of the season....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

It's about how you do, not how your opponents do. That's the most important thing.SuperHornet wrote:I take it that GATW ain't embarrassed that his boys lost to a team that crapped out the rest of the season....

Why would we be? Yeah, we lost fair and square.SuperHornet wrote:I take it that GATW ain't embarrassed that his boys lost to a team that crapped out the rest of the season....
But instead of saying, "well, that's the season, looks like we should just give up and worry about next year," we got better and ended up #3 in the FCS.
You know who didn't get better and basically gave up?
Yeah. You know who.
So congrats on your win. Maybe you'll get another one in fifteen years. You sound like Weber fans after the 2008 season. Come back to me when your team crawls out of perpetual mediocrity.
Once again in before "well, at least we don't rape people/have investigations going on." Kudos.

University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson was charged late Tuesday afternoon with sexual intercourse without consent, a felony.
The charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred last February in Missoula.
Charges were filed just before the close of business Tuesday in Missoula County District Court by Suzy Boylan, assistant chief deputy county attorney.

I'll be generous and say 7-4. Gonna be a repeat of 2010 for both EWU and UM, except the Griz will have a chance to sneak into the playoffs because of the all D-1 schedule.uofmman1122 wrote:What do ya say, SE?

Losses @App, @EWU, @Weber, vs. MSU.
Wait.
Just had an epic thought; what will this board be like with SH gloating about Liberty beating UM (should it happen)?

Hoke is a pretty good QB, and Weber is generally tough. Griz are 0-2 last two trips to Ogden...Vidav wrote:UM will beat Weber and MSU. The others are a toss up.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:

EDIT: Also, only in the minds of Griz fans is 9 new starters on defense, 6 new starters on offense including QB and top WRs, new coordinators, new HC, and the drama of 3 investigations and a rape trial.... vs a team that returns 17 starters including the best WR corp in the FCS, an impact transfer QB and DT, tons of depths because of injuries to starters, a proven HC, and is playing at home... a "toss up."
Not to mention the game last year in Missoula with your "stud" QB and highly experienced defense was a closely-matched 3 point game of see-saw.

Honestly, because I just don't see it at all, why in the world do you think we'll lose to Weber?Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:I'll be generous and say 7-4. I guess I'll go through my thoughts:
South Dakota: it's at home, though I don't know much about them. I think we win.
@App State: they're down, but they're still at home. I think we lose, especially with a new QB.
Liberty: Pretty sure they lost quite a bit from lat year, no? Plus we're at home. Win.
NAU: They have a strong run game, but we're at home and have a potentially better run game. Win.
@EWU: I think it's gonna be close. If our new QB has found his rhythm by now, maybe we can pull it off, but I think the passing game for EWU is too good for us. Loss
@UNC: Win. Next.
SUU: we're at home, and even though Sorenson is a beast, I don't think they're as good as EWU. Likely win.
@UND: this game is actually my pick for our trap game. They re good at home. But I don't think good enough. Likely win.
ISU: Win. It might be closer than last year, but probably not.
@Weber: Weber lost their coach and some big pieces. We're a much more complete football team now than two years ago. I think we win big again.
MSU: We're at home, we have our bye right before, and this isn't the 2010 team. This team has proven offensive players that can score, and our O-Line is much better than theirs. Plus I still don't believe MSU can win the big games. We won't roll over like in 2010, but I think it'll he closer than last year. I think by this time our QB and offense will be humming along like last year. The cold weather will negate most of the advantage their offense has on our defense.
A sugar-coated 9-2 for you.
Edit: Sorry, missed your post. Ignore the weber question.
Big Sky preseason polls
Realistically I see anywhere from 8-3 to 6-5 for UM this season. Whoever starts at Qb will have limited game experience and that might be an issue. Given everything that's happened 8-3 would be a great season.
9-3 would be a very tall order, IMO.

We haven't lost by 18 or more to an FCS team since the '90s. If the team to break that streak was UNC, I'd probably kill myselfBigSkyBears wrote:Bears win 28 to 10uofmman1122 wrote: Honestly, because I just don't see it at all, why in the world do you think we'll lose to Weber?
