Screaming beagle: I think somebody taught you how to be stupid, and its clear evidence you are a good learner. You cant be born that stupid and survived long enough to learn how to post on the internet.

I know you are infatuated with UND and of course the Dakota Big 3, but really, stop being their bitch for a moment and get back on track with this game. Its a big Dakota game with a real member of the Dakota Big 3.
What do we know so far:

1) Great opportunity for the Eagles to get some exposure
2) Nice for the Eagles to get some experience in a Dome since NDSU has a dome as well.
3) Good chance for the Eagles, their coaches and fans to see a well officiated game
4) Dome conditions will be perfect for a 1 dimensional passing team
5) USD plays bruising football. Conditions will favor the team most that has the balanced attack.

I pick USD in this one. The predicted victory might even go over 10 points.

1) Eagles gain yards but have trouble scoring. Almost an exlusive passing team so far this year.
2) lack of running game reduces their possession time
3) The balanced attack will have more time on the field, always a good thing
4) The crowd and conditions favor USD at home

KEYS:

1) USD must slow the passing attack
2) USD must stop the run
3) USD must leverage their advantage on the ground
4) USD must make the most of every opportunity

Whats your prediction? How exciting for you rural folks to get a chance to see a little of the country back east. Are you going through Fargo. If so you will get to see Bismarck too!

Are the Eagles taking vans or buses?

What time did the Eagles leave for the big trip to USD and a real Dakota Big 3 game?

Are the fans forming a neat caravan joining the teams vehicles?

Are the Eagles going to have a pep rally in the lot outside the Dome, a venue that must have you in awe in comparison to your nice D2 type stadium

Are you guys going to act like pricks or be good guests in Vermillion?

Good luck to both teams. GO YOTES!!!

EWU rushes for over 100, passes for over 300. Holds USD to under 300 yards of total offense. Eagles win 42-20.

Rural? Cheney is 15 miles from the largest population center between Seattle and Minneapolis. As many people live between Cheney and Coeur d'Alene as live in the entire state of North Dakota.

UND quit playing NDSU in all sports in 2003. Since that time NDSU has offered contracts for football and basketball. None of the football contracts were signed. It would appear now UND has lost its chance to play on the big stage in Fargo until at least 2013. That will be 10 years from the time UND quit. In that time its been a story of 2 programs going in opposite directions.

UND went west. NDSU went East.

UND spiraled downward. NDSU has sorared and are now again among the nations best teams.

UND doesnt have much regional interest. NDSU is the most watched football program in the Dakotas. To play here is to be in the big time of the FCS and football in general.

UND is not a member of the Dakota Big 3. NDSU is a member of the Dakota Big 3 along with SDSU and Jr. Member USD.

The Eagles fans must be beside themselves with excitement at playing USD. What a break for the program. This is a trap game though. What you think is going to be an easy win is actually lining up to be a great game. USD is the weakest member of the Dakota Big 3 but a dangerous program that has some good players. Its a moment for the Eagles fans to mark. In a Dome, a real Dakota Big 3 opponent, big crowd, lots of attention. All of those are bonuses that wouldnt be possible if this were a home game for them. I say smart scheduling on their part! :thumb:
Oh JBB you made my day. I need a good laugh. I love how it was UND's fault for quit playing. NDSU has soared?? In what? That one year they made the dance? That one year they went to the FCS playoffs? What about the other years of soaring? The 3-8 2009 season? The pathetic seasons in the Summit League basketball. And how about your all mighty VB team getting thumped on Tuesday to UND? You talk about most watched is NDSU sure in person but with only state wide tv? Sioux games get broadcasted nationwide which can help with recruiting. If I were you I would send SDSU a Christmas card every year saying thank you for telling the MVFC we are a packaged deal or else NDSU would be the lone member left in the Great West. At least USD and UND got into their conferences on their own.

JBB, you yet again prove that you are more than worthy of the dubious distinction of being considered the biggest douche on this board. But I must admit that your extreme exaggerations and over-simplifications do add quite a bit of entertainment value.

This could be a close game. This team knows it will get every team's best shot, every game. I don't think motivation will be a problem in this one. Still looking for their first win, I expect this team to go all out tomorrow.

How big is Cheney? I am thinking of taking my son to the UND-EWU game next October. Is there an airport or do you fly to Spokane?

About 11k, and around 20k when school is in. It's about 15 miles from downtown Spokane, and maybe only about 10 minutes from the Spokane airport. You literally leave the airport, get on I-90 going west and you're there in 10-15 minutes. Very close.

Cheney is small, only like 10k permanent residents, and 20k when EWU is in session. You would fly into Spokane, which is only a 20 minute drive away. :thumb:

You are basing your boast on surrounding population counts. Rural and low population are not synonymous. I was refering to the character of the town, campus and the football facilities. In fact most of the EWU fans present a certain cute, rural naivety. You just jumped to a conclusion. The entire environment at EWU is wonderfully modest and rural in nature with the bigger, profitable athletic facilities reserved for the main population centers of your little MSA.

I of course expect an apology for your uncalled for rudness. When you jump to conclusion like you do, you often end up with your foot in your mouth! 8-)

It is curious to note why the defending national champions would travel to USD. You would certainly think they would put up the money to have this game at home if the home stadium were generating any revenues anyway. But it is obvious there is more to be made by traveling to Vermillion than staying home. Thats a function of a couple things.

First, it is a big deal for EWU to snag a Dakota Big 3 game at one of the cherished Big 3 stadiums. Its also a sign the EWU was caught in the middle when the BSC used them as pigeons to help lure USD to the Big Sky. That didnt happen but fortunately for EWU the game is still on!

What a douche indeed! Here's a newsflash. Nobody gives a flying F*** about the big three, the little three, or anything in North or South Dakota for that matter. For all the retards named JBB, that means the Bison too. See, a DII title 20 years ago, and playing in some BS game called the Trees Bowl doesn't exactly invoke feelings of fear or respect. So shut up already!
