Charleston Southern Preview: Buccaneers Set Sights on FCS Playoffs - Post and Courier (Charleston, SC)
“I think we have become a tough team to play, which is good, but we have yet to take care of the business that we should have,” (CSU Head Coach, Jamey) Chadwell said. “I think every year there is a team that is ready to step in and challenge for the championship and we would like to believe that it can be us."
“I expect us to have a great year,” said (Senior CB, Malcolm) Jackson. “We have been focused all summer on finishing. We’ve had record attendance this summer. More and more people have come to understand that being here over the summer is so important. We’ve hit the film room hard and we’ve put in extra work.”
Chadwell’s third team may be his most talented, across the board, despite some inexperience along the defensive front. The Buccaneers return nine starters offensively, led by senior Austin Brown at quarterback.
“There is no shortage of talent, in fact, I think we’re actually more talented in some areas,” Chadwell said.
