Both JMU and UNCC coming off of bye weeks.

A the beginning of the season I thought UNCC would be doing better. They are only in their 2nd season, but they were slated to have about 75 on scholly this season, mostly 2 and 3 star HS recruits in their 1st-3rd year, + some transfer & walkons. I was thinking they would be the 2nd most talented team JMU would play, after UMD, in terms of raw talent, but the least experienced.

JMU will be without their pre season AA safety Dean Marlowe for the 1st half of the UNCC game due to a targeting call in the 3rd qtr of the TU game. He'll be replaced by a true Fr, which means 3 true fr in the secondary for JMU for the 1st half (unless the other JMU safety who has missed the last 3+ games to injury is back, not sure). That likely means that UNCC wil get a 1st half score that they otherwise wouldn't have gotten. Regardless, JMU "should" win this one by a couple of scores..

Should be the 2nd biggest away game crowd JMU faces, with a 15k+ sellout.

Why do you all pick Delaware to hang so close with W&M? Do you believe in some intra-season cycle or something? Is some historical notion of UD as a respectable program swaying you?

The only reason I wouldn't pick a score of say 52-10 is because I think Laycock is a classy guy who will call off the dogs unlike a JMU. Still I think W&M dominates a historically bad UD team something like 34-10.

28-14 JMU at the half. And just like I predicted. Both of UNCC's 1st half TDs came when Marlowe's backup got beat.

Close to packed house HC crowd. I'm sure a sellout. Nice 15k horseshoe stadium with no track. Sightlines as about as good as can be expected from low level goal line seats.

And damn UNCC has some good scenery down here. 70+ sunny no shade helps.

Good out of conference win by JMU. Three and "oh" for the CAA this week. Charlotte, Colgate and Mogan State fall to CAA.

W & M, Richmond, continue to build resumes for the playoff selection committee. Four teams looking more likely every week. Let's see what next week brings. JMU and Albany also remain potential playoff teams with a lot of work to do though.

JMU has just as much resume (or lack thereof as W&M). Both have a lot of work to do (Looks like JMU on defense and W&M on offense).
-Both are 5-3/2-2.
-Both still have to play each other
-Both still have to play UR.

I'll make a prediciton. Winner of W&M @ JMU next week will make the playoffs. Loser won't. Huge game.

JMU/UNCC highlights for both teams. Highlights don't show a couple of turnovers (Lee fumble on an option and a pick the backup UNCC QB threw.

It's close, but not the same. The loss to Delaware really hurts JMU's argument. W&M's losses are to an FBS and two top ranked FCS teams. If they can split Richmond/JMU they will get in.

I would like to see as many CAA teams as possible and hope JMU can do it I just think they have a tougher road with W&M, Stony Brook and Richmond still on the schedule. If they win 2 of those three they will have a strong argument. W & M has Elon and Towson left, which at least on paper, appear to be wins.

GO CAA!

JMU seems to be getting better every week. Player development...coaches adapting to the players's strengths, player gaining confidence int he coaches' game plans.

UD. Uh....no. We're regressing.

Carribe might have a good read on the team. He said Brock basically is screwing the seniors by not getting a few missing pieces (transfer linemen) that could have helped this team. And, Brock is playing the youngsters in critical situations while Guisti & Co. are on the bench watching. So yeah, the senior players might be a little pissed that Brock has thrown them under the bus. :ohno:

Brock is a dingleberry, but I'm guessing he's safe for five seasons of suckitude after KC's contract was bought out by a donor and Ziady made the buddy hire. Let that sink in. Three and one third more seasons of regression before we can even start to rebuild.
